PHOENIX -- Judging by the loud pregame cheers when Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant was announced Thursday night, many of the fans inside US Airways Center were there to see the MVP contender work his magic.
Instead, they got the Gerald Green show.
Green erupted in the second half to finish with a career-high 41 points and lead the Suns to a comeback win over the Western Conference's best team, 128-122.
"I just felt like everything I shot was going to go in," Green said. "Every look I got was a pretty good look."
Not quite everything went in for Green in a scorching third quarter, but his 7-of-11 shooting was good enough for 25 points, most of which came on six 3-pointers.
"Is that all?" Suns coach Jeff Hornacek joked of Green's third quarter total. "When you're feeling it like that I think you just want the ball anywhere in your vicinity and you'll grab it and shoot it."

Markieff Morris added 24 points, including two free throws with 24.4 seconds to play. Goran Dragic scored 22, including six of the Suns' final 12 points after Oklahoma City led 118-116....
Oklahoma City Thunder star Kevin Durant had the opportunity to visit boxing legend Muhammad Ali on Thursday.Durant was in Arizona to play a game in Phoenix, and Ali lives in Scottsdale.
