*NBA ATS Matchup Report*

The TrailBlazers had a discouraging return home Tuesday night when they were blown out by the Milwaukee Bucks.

Portland has lost six of its last eight games.

Portland has won four of five against the Grizzlies, so maybe they can get it going again with this matchup.

Memphis is coming off a disappointing loss at the hands of the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday night. After a slow start to the season, the Grizzlies have recovered to be right in the think of the playoff race at 25-19. Zach Randolph was out of the lineup for a long period of time, but he has been back for the last three games.

With Rudy Gay and Zach Randolph in the lineup, the Grizzlies have two elite scorers.

Memphis has played uncharacteristically bad defense over the last five games. Opponents are averaging 106.4 points per game during that time.

Portland has been struggling on both ends of the floor, but their inefficiency on offense has been terrible of late.

The Blazers are averaging just 87.2 points per game in their last five contests. Defensively, Portland is giving up 105.8 points per game in their last five.

Memphis Grizzlies vs. Portland Trailblazers Betting Lines & Handicapping

The TrailBlazers have to start moving the ball better on the offensive end. They have continuously had an extremely low amount of assists, which is indicative of a team that is playing too much one-on-one basketball.

One positive sign for the Blazers has been the offensive performance from Wesley Matthews in the past three games.

Matthews is averaging 18.5 points per game in the team’s last three games. LaMarcus Aldridge went through a bit of a slump for a while as well, but he has been playing well the last couple games.

Portland must keep Memphis point guard Mike Conley out of the lane if they are going to have a chance in this one. Conley is an underrated point guard who distributes the ball very well.

Marc Gasol is having a career year at the center spot for the Grizzlies. Memphis gained a ton of confidence from last year’s great playoff run.

Grizzlies vs. Blazers Handicapping Preview

Memphis is 20-24 ATS this year, while the Blazers are 21-24-1 ATS this season. The over/under is an even 23-23 in the Blazers 46 games. The under is 24-20 in the Grizzlies 44 games.

The Blazers are just 3-7 ATS in their last 10 home games, but the home team is 3-0-1 ATS in the last 4 meetings between these teams.

Pick: The Grizzlies have shown a lot of resilience all year, while the Blazers have been frustratingly bad of late. I think the Grizzlies win this one.
