LeBron James' Shoe Designer Mocks Derrick Rose's ACL Injury, Might Not Know What an ACL Is

If you've been half paying attention to the NBA, ESPN, or Twitter in the last 24 hours, you're probably aware that Derrick Rose tore his ACL during yesterday's game against the Philadelphia 76ers. If not, here's the video. Where the real drama started, however, was with Jason Petrie, LeBron James' shoe designer at Nike, who tweeted this shortly...

10 great players without an NBA Title

1. LeBron James (2003-Present)James is only 26 and has plenty of time to win an NBA title, but for now the two time MVP has zero championships in eight seasons.  James played in the finals with the Cleveland Cavaliers and Miami Heat in 2007 and 2011. 2. Karl Malone (1985-2004)Malone unfortunately played at the same time as Michael Jordan. The Mailman lost twice to the Bulls in the...

LeBron James Says Failure to Win Title Wouldn't Be 'a Failure,' But It Would Be 'a Disappointment'

It's all about the wording, apparently, when it comes to LeBron James. There are plenty of NBA fans and media alike who think that up to this point in his career, James has been a failure. It's true that James is under pressure and scrutiny like no other, but at least in the recent past, he has wilted under that pressure and scrutiny. Once again, his Heat enter the NBA playoffs...

LeBron James kicks off the playoffs with a couple of excellent flops (Video)

Until he wins a championship ring, critics will continue to question whether or not LeBron James has what it takes to lead his team in the postseason. Now that Derrick Rose is out for the season with a torn ACL, he should have an even better opportunity to prove the doubters wrong this year. One thing you cannot question, however, is LeBron’s ability to draw a call in the playoffs...

LeBron James Catches Heat Following Flop That Draws Flagrant Foul on Tyson Chandler (Video)

The NBA: Where Flopping Happens. If there's one thing that most NBA fans hate more than LeBron James, it's flopping. So when James hit the deck during Saturday's Heat-Knicks first-round clash, it sent the Twitter world into a frenzy. James' apparent flop came as the second quarter was winding down. With New York bringing the ball up the floor, Knicks center Tyson...

James leads dominating performance as Heat tromp Knicks

MIAMI -- The New York Knicks entered the playoffs hot; the Miami Heat didn't. Saturday, LeBron James set the record straight. With the Heat forward scoring 32 points and spearheading a 24-2 run to close the second period, the Heat jumped to a 1-0 lead in this best-of-seven opening-round playoff series with a 100-67 victory at American Airlines Arena. "They hit us in...

LeBron looks like man on a mission

MIAMI LeBron James' road to redemption began Saturday by leading the Miami Heat to a 100-67 beatdown of the New York Knicks. He was as fabulous, dominating and frighteningly talented in his first game of the 2012 playoffs as he was responsible for the loss in last year's Finals collapse. It was the performance of a maestro: LeBron had 32 points, four rebounds, three assists...

LeBron James Flops Against the Knicks (Video)

I know the play was clearly a foul by Tyson Chandler, but LeBron did his own version of a soccer flop against the Knicks today.  Chandler was moving (while setting a pick) which is a foul every time, but LeBron tried to draw a flagrant foul by falling down and acting like a little girl.  Just pathetic.  I'll be the first person to jump on LeBron because I've always hated...

Knicks-Heat Preview

LeBron James started thinking about what a playoff opener against the New York Knicks would mean a few days ago. Amare Stoudemire started talking about taking down the Miami Heat a few months ago. Here they are. One of the most hotly contested NBA postseason rivalries of a generation ago is about to be rekindled. The second-seeded Heat open defense of their Eastern Conference...

TPBT Season Awards

Most Valuable Player Award Lebron James What has happened to Lebron’s game this season is remarkable. He has taken his game inside the perimeter and in the paint more than he has ever done in the past (about time), often playing the lone force in the paint for the Miami Heat. Since this change, his efficiency has improved (53% shooting this year, up 5% for his career)...

Does Carmelo have more on the line than LeBron?

Carmelo Anthony versus LeBron James may be the most exciting matchup that we’ll see all post-season. Two tremendous NBA talents go head-to-head with a lot more on the line than just winning a game or a series. James has to try to piece together the first (of many) championships he promised when he ditched Cleveland for the sunny beaches of Miami. Not one… Not two… Not three…...

Shortened season over, time for the NBA postseason

The sprint to the NBA playoffs is over and the postseason lineup is one of the most intriguing ever. LeBron James vs. Carmelo Anthony, the young and confident Oklahoma City Thunder looking for an early knockout against the defending champion Dallas Mavericks, two Los Angeles teams shooting for one title and the venerable San Antonio Spurs looking for a second lockout-season title...
