It is scary to think that Anthony Davis is only in his second season in the NBA and he is just 20 years old! At 6'10 220, Davis is super lanky and extremely athletic. As long as he can avoid a serious injury then we could be watching a future NBA Hall of Famer. Not only is Davis averaging a double double at 20.1 points and 10.5 rebounds, but he is shooting 51% from the field and 76% from the foul line which is very good for a center. Shooting as efficiently as he does, he's going to consistently score around 20 points a night as he's not afraid to shoot. He's averaging 15 shots a night and because of his aggressiveness he is also taking 6.5 free throws a night. Let's remember he's only 20, so he will improve his game as his career moves along. He will more than likely increase his scoring to around 25 points a night.Aside from his success on the offensive end, Davis might be the best defender in the entire NBA already. Davis averages 3.14 blocks a night, which is the best in the NBA. Roy Hibbert ranks second in the league with 2.6 blocks, Serge Ibaka at 2.56, DeAndre Jordan 2.38, and John Henson at 2.19 finishing out the top 5. In just 36 games played so far this year, Davis has 9 games with 5 or more blocks.Back in November, Davis flirted with a triple double in back to back games. Against the 76ers, in just 29 minutes, Davis had 13 points, 9 rebounds and 9 blocked shots. The following game against the Jazz, Davis had 22 points, 9 rebounds and 8 blocks. It's only a matter of time before he's posting several triple doubles in a season with points, rebounds and blocks. Most players who are shot blockers and as aggressive as Anthony Davis is on the defensive end of the court end up fouling out or getting into foul trouble on a regular basis. Davis has yet to foul out in his brief career, and this season he has had 5 fouls in a game just one time.I smell defensive player of the year awards in Anthony Davis' future as well as possible MVP awards and dare I say Hall of Famer? Assuming he avoids a disastrous injury, then the 20 year old Davis has an extremely bright future.
