Orlando Magic Daily:
Tuesday morning, Chad Ford of ESPN.com reported the "next shoe to drop" for the Clippers following the completion of their blockbuster Kevin Garnett/Doc Rivers deal would be to acquire Arron Afflalo for Eric Bledsoe and Caron Butler.
I wrote about this couple weeks ago, but if LAC can strike deal with BOS, nxt shoe to drop may be Bledsoe/Butler to ORL for Afflalo

Then more shoes kept dropping in some weird insectoid scenario that seemed to make this analogy irrelevant.
Namely, as has been reported just about everywhere, the Celtics and Clippers broke off conversations regarding that potential Kevin Garnett/Doc Rivers deal with the Clippers seemingly unwilling to take the financial pill of paying the rest of Doc Rivers' and Kevin Garnett's contracts. That ended a fun few days of churning the rumor mill.
It also puts a wrench in that report from Chad Ford.
Do not expect this to end the Ma...

The Los Angeles Clippers have held ongoing talks with the Orlando Magic on a trade involving Eric Bledsoe for Arron Afflalo.

Afflalo is owed $23 million over the next three seasons.
GAME BACK ON
After talks fell apart on a deal that would have brought Doc Rivers and Kevin Garnett to the Clips, discussion has reportedly reopened with a nudge from Chris Paul.
This weekend, the NBA rumor mill was kicked into overdrive when stories broke out reporting the Celtics and Clippers were negotiating a deal whereby Kevin Garnett and possibly Paul Pierce would join the Clippers along with Doc Rivers in exchange for Eric Bledsoe and DeAndre Jordan. The deal seems more in its formative stages as the Clippers are trying to hold on to Bledsoe it seems...
Long time NBA writer Mark Heisler has tweeted out some insight on the pending blockbuster trade between the Celtics and Clippers. The talks stalled yesterday when the Clippers refused to include Eric Bledsoe in the deal, however, things have apparently picked up again today.
This just in: Truth is in the proposal they're working on w/KG. May mean #Celtics take Caron w/1 year...
Surprise, talks are back on between the Clippers and the Celtics. The catalyst for those reignited conversations? Chris Paul’s desire to get it done allegedly. It’s no secret the Clippers are doing whatever they can to keep CP3 happy and ready to resign with the franchise once free agency kicks off July 1st.
The Clippers walked away from the negotiating table, balking at Boston’s...

No one point guard should have this much power *Kanye Voice*.
FYI: Chris Paul got involved in this Clips-Celts debacle, that's why they are talking again. Clips cannot risk CP being unhappy on July 1st.

Remember never believe a deal is deal or alive until it is announced officially, until then it is all speculation.
A couple months back Steven A. Smith brought up the idea of the Clippers trading for Doc Rivers and while at the time it seemed like Steven A. Smith just being his normal crazy self, it seems that at least part of what he was saying holds some truth. The Celtics and Clippers seem to be in an intense stand off for this trade that both teams want to happen. Who will give in first though...

According to a league source, Rivers hopes after that discussion to make his first public comments regarding his future since saying on May 3rd that he was uncertain if...
ESPN.com is reporting that according to sources, the trade talks between the Clippers and Celtics for Doc Rivers and Kevin Garnett have totally fallen apart, with the Clippers walking away.
The teams have no plans to speak again, the sources said, and the Clippers are preparing to move on and hire a coach this week.

You can't make this up. Talks between the Clippers and Celtics to allow the Clippers to sign Doc Rivers to coach their team are taking a break so that the Clippers' owner can take another coaching candidate, Brian Shaw, out to dinner. I'm wondering if Brian Shaw feels used. Actually maybe Danny should join in on that dinner because I'd love to see Brian Shaw hired...
“Make. Up. Your. Minds.”I mean, you HAD to see this coming, right?According to several sources, including Yahoo! Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski, talks have revived between the Celtics and Clippers which is an enormous surprise to absolutely no one. Here is perhaps the most relevant part of the deal: The Clippers reached out to the Celtics this time. This is significant, and it...
