Following a 109-101 loss to the Miami Heat on Friday night, Jason Terry threw some shade when he was asked about the Celtics next opponent, the 20-59 Orlando Magic. According to Baxter Holmes of the Boston Globe: Jason Terry on the Celtics’ next opponent, Orlando: “I don’t want to give them any fuel, but they’re terrible.”

Comments from the Other Side - Magic 4/13

At least JET's trash talk didn't come back to bite him in this game.  The terrible Magic lived up to their reputation.  I'm with Orlando fans on this one, though.  I really wish he's just be quiet.  We don't need to give teams any added motivation.  They all hate the Celtics enough already as it is.  It sure was good to get a convincing victory for once...

Rajon Rondo: It's Frustrating Not To Be On The Floor

It has been nearly three months since it was announced that Boston Celtics All-Star point guard Rajon Rondo had a torn ACL in his right knee and would likely miss the rest of the season. It had already been an up and down season in which the aging veterans on the roster were attempting to make one last run at hanging an 18th banner in the rafters at TD Garden.   Since that fateful...

Video: Brandon Bass thumps Brook Lopez at the rim

The Brooklyn Nets defeated the Boston Celtics 101-93 on Wednesday. The Celtics Brandon Bass took some of the game’s frustration out on the rim and Nets center Brook Lopez. Lopez certainly was not backed down as hard as some people were this season were ( i.e. Jason Terry), but he was backed down all the same. Please click here to read this story. The post Video: Brandon Bass...

Celtics Cruise Past Magic, Clinch 7th Seed

Celtics 120, Magic 88 Follow @TheNosebleeds The Celtics clinched the 7th seed in the East as Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce returned to action for a tune-up against the Magic. The C’s are now guaranteed to take on the New York Knicks in the first round of the Playoffs. Jason Terry may have been correct when he quipped that the Magic were “terrible” on Friday night, and insinuated...

Kevin Garnett: ‘I can be better, and I will be’

Boston Celtics center Kevin Garnett, disappointed in his last two games since his return from a foot injury that sidelined him for two weeks, says he will get better. Garnett had 11 points, eight rebounds and four assists in the Celtics’ 101-93 loss to the Brooklyn Nets Wednesday night.

An Emotional Tribute to the Old Boston Garden

While preparing for an upcoming column, I stumbled across this emotional tribute to the original Boston Garden. I remember this actual report when it aired 2 decades ago. At the tender age of 14, I had the good fortune of visiting the original Boston Garden. Always looking so beautiful on television, the parquet floor glistened and the banners that crowded the Garden rafters made...

Magic’s Tobias Harris hits And-1 Three, Misses Free Throw to win Game Against Bucks (Video)

Plays like this is why some coaches are afraid to foul in situations where a team needs a 3-pointer to tie the game. In the waning seconds of a game where the Orlando Magic were trailing the Milwaukee Bucks 95-92 on Wednesday night, forward Tobias Harris hit a 3-pointer while being fouled by Marquis Daniels with the potential to win the game, but missed the free throw, sending the...

Kevin Garnett in a walking boot after last night, Danny Ainge says it's for 'precautionary reasons'

Kevin Garnett has already been ruled out of tomorrow night's game with the Heat due to a sore ankle, and after last night's game with the Nets, KG was spotted in a walking boot. With barely a week to go before the playoffs start—that's not good. Today Celtics President of Basketball Operations Danny Ainge made his weekly appearance on WEEI's "Salk and Holley...

3 reasons why this Celtics vs Heat game tonight might still be worth watching

What will Green do for an encore? Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett aren't going to play in Miami this evening.  Dwyane Wade is, but LeBron and Chris Bosh are still up in the air.  Neither team cares about winning this game; at all.  The playoffs are a week away, and the rest of the regular season is basically meaningless.  Especially for the Heat, who have already locked up...

Celtics vs. Heat this time around doesn’t have the same Miami vs. Boston buzz that we’re used to but is still important

The Celtics-Heat rivalry has been strong ever since the self-proclaimed King James decided to famously take his talents to South Beach.  Miami had the talent, but Boston had the experience—up until last year when the new big three, donning Miami red, captured the allusive NBA championship and Boston and Miami’s roles were immediately changed.  Tonight will most definitely have...

Jeff Green Dunks All Over The Heat

Follow @TheNosebleeds Jeff Green is not afraid. The swing forward has been a matchup nightmare for Celtics opponents since finding his stride in the second half of the 2012-13 season, but he has been particularly effective against smaller lineups. As you can see in this video, when the Heat throw out a small lineup with Chris Andersen at the 5, Jeff makes posters. His emergence...
