Jeff Van Gundy became a trending topic on Twitter before Game 6 of the Eastern Conference finals between the Celtics and Heat even began. After looking at the picture above, it’s easy to see why. I guess that was his way of connecting with the cool NBA kids crowd that consists of LeBron James, Russell Westbrook, and Dwyane Wade.

Jeff Van Gundy has made no secret of his dislike for flopping. We hear him countless times complaining on national TV about NBA players flopping like European soccer stars on the court. I don’t blame him. The flopping has been taken to new heights. Then again, so has Van Gundy’s proclamations.

You do an outstanding job announcing and analyzing NBA games. Your insights are instructive, your opinions well thought out and its even entertaining -- like when you said Mickael Pietrus should be fined 1 million for that obvious flop late in Bostons Game 5 win over the Heat.
Seriously, its good stuff.
But early in Game 6, you opined that you really didnt understand...
The one element of the NBA's hipster craze that bothers me is these NBA players spending all sorts of stupid money on fake glasses that cost more than my real glasses... and possibly my entire wardrobe. Seriously, when did it become in vogue for NBA players to show up to postgame press conferences with thick-rimmed fake glasses and stolen casual shirts from Don Cherry? Whoever...
