PLAYERS: Jeremy Lin
TEAMS: New York Knicks
The New York Knicks confirmed that Jeremy Lin had undergone successful surgery to repair the meniscus in his left knee Monday afternoon.

Just in case you don't trust the Knicks organization— after they reportedly withheld the severity of Lin's injury for a couple of days— the point guard posted a photo of himself lying in the hospital bed after the procedure on his Facebook page as proof.

The post didn't say if he was in Lin-tensive care or not.

The photo shows the point guard lying in a bed at Manhattan's Hospital for Special Surgery covered with rumpled sheets and various medical tubes.

Lin also posted this message: "Praise God for a successful surgery!  Now on to the road to recovery!  Let's gooo.  Much love to all the fans for your support and kind words."

The team said he will be out for approximately six weeks after surgery and rehabilitation— or well into the playoffs.

Did the Knicks cover up Lin's injury?

The NY Daily News is making the claim that the Knicks delayed telling the public about Jeremy Lin's possible season-ending injury in order to sell more playoff tickets.

UPDATE: MSG is now saying that the Daily News made up their story

With Jeremy Lin out for the rest of the season to have surgery on his damaged knee, "Linsanity" has come to a close in New York, at least for now. Odds are that the Knicks will do everything they can to have Lin back next year so the cash keeps on flowing, and they definitely made sure they got everything they could before they made Lin's injury news public.
