As the Los Angeles Clippers attempted to make a run in Atlanta, Hawks guard Joe Johnson hit a rather improbable buzzer beater.

With less than a minute to play, Johnson recovered a loose ball with the shot clock winding down and after being pressured by Clippers guard Mo Williams, threw up a prayer from the left corner.

Joe's prayer was answered and the Hawks won by the score 109-102:

Hawks' Al Horford out for first round

Hawks center Al Horford says he's definitely out for the first-round playoff series against Boston. Horford has missed most of the season recovering from surgery to repair a torn left pectoral muscle. After practicing four-on-four earlier in the week, Horford was optimistic about returning to face the Celtics. But he conceded that his left arm just isn't strong enough to...

Paul sits out crucial game

The Los Angeles Clippers wanted to win Wednesday night at New York. They wanted to earn home-court advantage for themselves. But ultimately, the Clippers decided they wanted Chris Paul as healthy as possible. Paul, who suffered a mild groin strain Tuesday night, was in uniform Wednesday against the Knicks, but the team elected to have him sit. The Clippers missed Paul's...

Are Reggie Evans and the Los Angeles Clippers Floppers?

There is nothing that bothers me more than players flopping in basketball. Basketball in not soccer. Recently Reggie Evans of the Los Angeles Clippers had a flop that will be in highlight packages for years to come because it was of the worst flops you will ever see. New Orleans Hornets guard Greivis Vasquez is whistled for a flagrant 2 for hitting Evans but as the...

Starting 5: Playoffs are set, Clips lose ground & Joe Johnson's answered prayer

Every morning, we'll give you five things from the night before in the NBA to start your day. 1:  Jazz in, Suns out The Utah Jazz sent Phoenix home last night, beating them 100-88 and securing the final spot in the playoffs.  They are now likely to face the San Antonio Spurs, whom they've lost three of four to this season.   But it doesn't matter much to Utah, who...

Monty Williams calls out Clippers, Griffin for "flopping and nonsense"

Someone go check on Jeff Van Gundy to make sure he did not have a heart attack on Sunday night after watching Reggie Evans' horrible flop performance. A week after Van Gundy ranted on national television claiming the NBA condones flopping across the league, Evans essentially made a case for why the league office needs to address the issue before it damages the game any further...

Kobe Bryant says Blake Griffin should ‘smack the f*** out of somebody’

Blake Griffin has taken a beating this season, and it has hardly gone unnoticed. Brutal fouls like this one have inspired Griffin to speak out against the way opponents are defending him, and you can’t blame him for wanting the referees to do a better job of protecting him. While Griffin’s Clippers teammates have vowed to protect him going forward, Kobe Bryant says he would handle...

Paul Strains Left Groin

Chris Paul is listed as questionable for Wednesday, a game that would mean homecourt advantage in the first round.

Clippers will protect Griffin

The Los Angeles Clippers have taken a lot of heat for not protecting their superstar, Blake Griffin. I have disagreed with the criticism. This isn't the '90s anymore where you can just go up and clock a guy because he hit your teammate and get away with just a slap on the wrist. There are much bigger fines now and suspensions that can cost your team in the long run. Retaliation...

Clippers' Paul dressed, but sitting vs. Knicks

NEW YORK (AP) -- Chris Paul is in uniform but didn't start for the Clippers against the New York Knicks because of a mild left groin strain. Paul scored 34 points despite the injury in a 109-102 loss at Atlanta on Tuesday night. Eric Bledsoe was starting in the backcourt alongside Randy Foye for the Clippers, who went into the game tied with Memphis for fourth place in the...
