The Washington Wizards were unable to take Game 2 in Indiana last night, and a lot of that had to do with the poor play of point guard John Wall. Wall was able to lead the Wizards in their Game 1 win and get his teammates involved, while also scoring the basketball, but that wasn’t the case on Wednesday night. Indiana Pacers’ point guard George Hill stepped up his game on both sides of the court, and absolutely dominated Wall from start to finish. Wall finished the game with just six points on 2-13 shooting, and missed all four of his three-point attempts. He was able to chip in eight assists, but also picked up four fouls. The Wizards are not going to win many basketball games against a talented team like the Pacers if their star point guard is unable to get things going from start to finish. “The criticism is going to be on me whether we win or lose.” - John Wall There is no doubt that the criticism should be on Wall when he plays as poorly as he did in Game 2, but he will have another chance to bounce back at home tomorrow night.
