Congratulations to @jrue_holiday11 on being selected to his first #NBAAllStar Game! twitter.com/Sixers/status/…— Philadelphia 76ers (@Sixers) January 25, 2013   The 76ers might be an under .500 team but no one is more deserving to be an all star than Jrue Holliday, a star on a gloomy team. Holliday is one of the young players who battles to win every night even though he really does. Statistically Jrue is close to averaging a double-double with leading the team with both 19 points per game and 9 assists per game. In addition Holliday is also one of Philly’s better defenders ranking second on the team with 55 steals on the season.   Congrats Tyson! RT @nbaallstar 2013 #NBAAllStar East Reserve: @tysonchandler of the @nyknicks! twitpic.com/bxyvpb— NBA New York Knicks (@nyknicks) January 25, 2013   Tyson Chandler is the second Knick to be named on the All-Star team and rightfully so. The physical veteran straight out of Compton is leading the Knicks in blocks an rebound on defense. Offensively Chandler is third on the team in points with 477 and has over 100 more offensive rebounds than the next Knick. This comes a year after Chandler, while losing the All-NBA First Defensive Team nod to Dwight Howard, won the Defensive Player of the Year Award. This is Tyson’s first All-Star selection.
