Found December 30, 2011 on Washington Post:
The Wizards avoided facing Kirk Hinrich when they got trounced by 18 points on Wednesday in Atlanta, but that didn’t necessarily mean that his presence wasn’t felt. Hinrich has been sidelined since early November as he recovers from surgery to remove a cyst and repair the labrum in his left shoulder and feels like he’s only “got one foot in” with the Hawks since he can’t actually contribute on the court. While Hinrich hasn’t worn a Wizards uniform in nearly 10 months, his effect on the franchise he represented for just 48 games cannot be ignored. Read full article >>

Blatche A Captain To Nowhere

It might surprise you to know Andray Blatche is a team captain for the Washington Wizards. The sometimes moody Blatche is a middling player, averaging a career-high 16.8 points per game and 8.2 rebounds per game, although he shot just 44.5 percent from the floor and seemed to favor his mid-range jumper more than any post moves he might have. But Blatche is a team captain, and you...

Andray Blatche Is Willing To Die For His Teammates

Washington Wizards forward Andray Blatche is someone I'd like to describe as a passionate individual to say the least.Recently during an interview with the Washington Post, Blatche made a comment that he is willing to go out there and leave his heart and soul on the court for the Wizards: “I told my teammates I’m going to give you 100 percent out of me every game. I’m willing...

Josh Smith Has A Retro Hawks Tattoo

Josh Smith has had an up-and-down relationship with the Hawks, but he’s always made one thing clear: he loves Atlanta, his native city.  Since a rookie he’s sported an outline of Georgia along with the letters “ATL” on his left bicep, and sometime between spring 2009 and fall 2010 he added the old “Pacman” logo that represented the Hawks during the Dominique Wilkins...

Is "good" no longer good enough?

The Hawks share some connective tissue with two of this week's opponents. And when you examine how Atlanta tangentially relates to the Washington Wizards and New Jersey Nets, it's actually not too pretty of a picture, given that the Wizards and Nets will almost surely be drafting in the 2012 lottery while the Hawks make yet another trip to the playoffs but both teams are...

Hawks use balanced attack to drop Wizards

ATLANTA (AP) -- Joe Johnson led another balanced attack with 18 points and the Atlanta Hawks beat the Washington Wizards 101-83 on Wednesday night. The Hawks have had six players score in double figures in each of their first two wins to open the season. Tracy McGrady had 11 points off the bench to join Atlanta's five starters in double figures. Marvin Williams scored 17 points...

Wizards players vow to remain unified, and change their losing mindset

Roger Mason Jr. was the consummate professional in the Wizards locker room after the team's 102-81 loss to Milwaukee on Friday. In truth, Mason was angry, and understandably so after a series of mistakes left his name omitted from the team's roster, and ineligible to play in the game. Mason ...

Initial Feedback: Hawks Outlast Nets

Initial feedback: A completely subjective and immediate* response to the events of tonight's game, featuring a comment and rating, the latter on a scale of 1 to 10, on every player who saw the floor and the head coach, along with ephemera and miscellany as the author deems necessary.*Barring the inability to connect to the blog software for 15 hours.
