Former New York Knicks legend Patrick Ewing will join the MSG Network later this month to do post game analysis for the Knicks according to the MSG Networks twitter account. The tweet reads: BREAKING! @nyknicks legend PATRICK EWING will join our broadcast for #Knicks postgame coverage on 3/20 and 3/31 (cc: @alanhahn @altrautwig) — MSG Networks (@MSGNetworks) March 13, 2013   Ewing was previously an assistant coach with the Orlando Magic and has been searching for coaching gigs around the league. The Knicks have been known to be good to their former players. Allan Houston is currently in the front office as assistant general manager and former player Larry Johnson works for the Knicks in some capacity. Ewing, however, has never worked for the Knicks since retiring from basketball. Former Knick Herb Williams has been on the coaching staff for years now and has survived several Knicks head coaching fires. Many people have criticized the Knicks’ treatment of Ewing following his departure from the team late in his career. The Knicks seem to be trying to right a wrong here. Ewing will forever be considered one of the best players ever to wear a Knicks jersey. It’s a good gesture to bring in Ewing, even if it is only two shows. Hopefully the Knicks can find a way to bring in Ewing long-term. The post Knicks legend Patrick Ewing joins MSG for shows this month appeared first on New York Sports Kings.
