After Amare Stoudemire played 28 minutes on Monday, he experienced soreness in his surgically-repaired left knee.  The New York Knicks power forward has played in just four games since returning from the injury this season, but the team has been progressively giving him more minutes.  They will cut back today. The Knicks will heed the advice of doctors and reduce Stoudemire's minutes tonight against the Indiana Pacers says Ian Begley of ESPN New York.  Neither Stoudemire nor coach Mike Woodson called the decision a setback in Stoudemire's continued recovery.  However, Woodson acknowledged that the 28 minutes he allowed Stoudemire to play on Monday was probably too much. Stoudemire underwent surgery on his knee back in October.  He had missed the entire season up until late last week when he made his debut against the Portland Trail Blazers.  The Knicks have been trying to integrate him into the lineup slowly, but had planned all along to bring Stoudemire off the bench rather than start him.In his career, Stoudemire has averaged 21.5 points and 8.7 rebounds per game.  So far this season, his number have been down, but that's because of the reduced minutes.  He is averaging 10.0 points and 2.3 rebounds per game in his four games since returning. Knicks Interested in K-Mart?

Not sure how accurate this is since the Knicks will guarantee Cope and Sheed. The question is how Sheed’s injury is and will it allow him to get on the floor anytime soon? I believe Sheed’s presence and wisdom is too much for the Knicks to let go at this point. The Knicks are deep enough to get through this stretch without Rasheed, but they definitely miss him on the court....

Knicks Drop Ugly Game to Pacers

Post Game Recap Final Score: Knicks: 76  Pacers: 81 Boxscore   Tonight the Knicks could have desperately used the suspended Carmelo Anthony as points were hard to come by tonight.  In what looked like a game from the 90’s rivalry between the Knicks and Pacers, we were all put into a time machine to see an ugly, drag’em out slugfest between two offensively challenged teams...

Down Melo, Knicks Face Pacers

Pre Game News and Notes Knicks vs Pacers: TNT,MSG 8pm Throughout the season, the Knicks have shown an ability to bounce back from losses, going 8-2 following a loss and never losing three games in a row.  They will look to continue that great play following losses tonight in Indiana, but it will have to be done without the services of Carmelo Anthony, who was suspended as a result...

Sources: Knicks are Considering Adding Kenyon Martin

Carmelo Anthony may have a little more muscle to flex the next time his Knicks square off against Kevin Garnett’s Celtics.  Per (via Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports), the Knicks have expressed interest in free-agent forward Kenyon Martin, who most recently played with the Clippers.  Martin is reportedly open to signing a 10-day contract with the Knicks while...

J.R. Smith dunks on Ian Mahinmi

This is becoming a nightly occurrence a highlight play from J.R. Smith. In the Knicks game agasint the Pacers last night Smith was once again up to his old tricks. Late in the 1st quarter Smith has the ball near the three point line, and then he decides to attack the rim. At the last second Pacers center Ian Mahinmi tries to stop Smith but that doesn’t work as Smith throws down...

Could Jason Kidd & Kenyon Martin Be Reunited In New York?

Kenyon Martin has been one of my favorite basketball players for a long, long time.  So, when I read a Yahoo Sports report stating that the New York Knicks are considering adding a second highly-charismatic forward in K-Mart to go along with ‘Sheed Wallace, I was excited for two reasons: firstly, Martin was still an explosive, athletic dunker with the Clippers last year, and I...

New York Knicks’ Carmelo Anthony says he wanted to talk, not fight, with Celtics forward Kevin Garnett .

POTD 1/10/13: DeMarcus Cousins on Bernard James

Today happens to be one of those days where I wish I could choose two winners, as both JR Smith and DeMarcus Cousins are entirely deserving of this particular POTD.  Each player threw down one of two remarkable slam dunks that, although very different, are almost equally impressive.  Smith took flight from the fringe of the painted area and, having launched off of his right foot...
