Kobe Bryant has been around for a long time, so this makes sense. He is still the biggest NBA star on the planet, who is still actively playing.
So, you can’t be too surprised by this report.
According to a report from Wealth-X.com (via Eric Pincus of the Los Angeles Times), Kobe Bryant has the highest net worth in the NBA. The Black Mamba is estimated to be worth a whopping $220 million.
The next closest as you can imagine is LeBron James ($130 million), once Kobe retires LeBron’s reign will last for a very long time in the money department.
BEST OF MAXIM
With his recent injury, fans of Kobe Bryant feared he may be nearing the end of his career. Bryant sees this as fuel to keep playing. Just the Kobe mentality we have all come to know and love.In a report by Eric Pincus of LA Times, Bryant reported that he thinks he can compete at a high level for another three years."I fell pretty damn confident I can be at a high level for...
They are going to have to drag Kobe Bryant off the court. That has always been my opinion, no matter what he says. The question has always been will that be with the Lakers or not. It is rare these days that players, play their whole career with one team. I think Kobe retiring as [...]

Kobe Bryant has developed a reputation for telling you exactly what’s on his mind. Bryant was a member of the group who went to sit down with NBA free agent Dwight Howard to convince him to stay with the Lakers. Per “Yahoo Sports,” Kobe’s message was direct, Let me show you how to be a winner.
“You need to learn how it’s done first, and I can teach you here,” Bryant...
We reported the news yesterday that Kobe Bryant had a very direct message to Dwight Howard during the Los Angeles Lakers’ meeting with the coveted free agent center. I knew if there was one person who wasn’t going to beg, it was Kobe. If the Yahoo! report is any indication, it was much more of a challenge than anything else.
While I wasn’t surprised by the message Bryant...
With 28.2 seconds left and a five point lead in the penultimate game of the NBA Finals, the San Antonio Spurs had a 98.6 percent chance of winning their fifth championship. The rest, of course, is history -- Miami created a few extra possessions and a pair of 3-pointers from LeBron James and Ray Allen, along with a Kawhi Leonard missed free throw, knotted the game at 95. The Heat...
According to a report from Wealthx.com, Kobe Bryant unsurprisingly has the highest net worth in the NBA at $220 million. Endorsements throughout 15 years in the NBA from adidas, Sprite, McDonalds, Upper Deck and Spalding, Nike, Coca-Cola and most recently Turkish Airlines will certainly lead to that kind of success.
Kevin Garnett ($190M), LeBron James ($130M), Tim Duncan ($100M...
Kobe never really liked Dwight and Dwight never really liked Kobe.
They don’t have to pretend anymore. From the time Kobe told him to leave the clown act in Orlando their relationship was destine to fail.
I don’t think Kobe is shedding any tears over Dwight leaving. They both unfollowed each other on Twitter soon after it became official that Dwight Howard was signing with the Rockets.
Kobe Bryant is FIRED UP! Dwight Howard has selected the Houston Rockets and Kobe is making his own statements via social media. Not only did he unfollow Dwight on Twitter, he put up a photo of him and Pau Gasol on Instagram.
Pau unfollowed Dwight on Twitter too. No love lost though, Dwight hit the unfollow button as well. Let the rivalry begin. Now Kobe has more motivation for...
While Dwight Howard changed his Twitter avatar and tweeted out his excitement to join the Rockets, Kobe Bryant took to Instagram to react to the news himself:

Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol are moving on — together.
Moments after Dwight Howard tweeted that he would be signing with the Houston Rockets, his former teammates with the Los Angeles Lakers cut ties in a very 2013 way. Bryant and Gasol unfollowed the center on Twitter.
Bryant went one step further by flaunting his bromance with Gasol in an Instagram picture. Bryant tagged the photo...
Now that Dwight Howard is gone, the Los Angeles Lakers will not use their amnesty provision on forward Pau Gasol, reports ESPNLosAngeles.com on Friday. Gasol will now likely slide over from power forward to center, the same position he was in when the 2009
The Los Angeles Lakers brought Kobe Bryant, Steve Nash and GM Mitch Kupchak to their Tuesday meeting with free agent Dwight Howard, probably to remind the center of the team’s dysfunctional times last season. They reportedly discussed how things went last year and what they can do better. Kobe also had some words for Dwight [...]
Kobe Bryant posted a photo of himself and teammate Pau Gasol on Instagram shortly after free-agent Dwight Howard confirmed that he was leaving the Lakers to sign with the Rockets.
The picture, which shows Gasol patting Bryant on the head, bears the caption “#vamos #juntos #lakercorazon #vino.” The Spanish words translate to “we go, together, Laker heart, wine...
