Over seventeen seasons in the NBA, Kobe Bryant has faced off against the best of the best, and on many occasions has been asked to guard the biggest threat on the opposing team. So, who is the toughest player the Black Mamba has ever faced? According to a tweet from Dave McMenamin, Allen Iverson, Stephon Marbury, Gilbert Arenas, Carmelo Anthony and Kevin Durant all rank highly in Bryant’s book, but he thinks Tracy McGrady as the toughest of them all: Kobe on the toughest guys he ever played against - Iverson, Marbury, Arenas, Melo, Durant - but put Tracy McGrady as the toughest— Dave McMenamin (@mcten) August 16, 2013 The fact that Kobe left LeBron James off the list enraged a number of LBJ fans, but you can clearly see that the guys who Bryant listed are all scorers; all guys who are going to be tough to stop from racking up a number of points against you. LeBron is more of an all-around player – more of an assist guy. While McGrady may be washed up these days, he used to be a killer on a nightly basis before he got hit by the injury bug. Even so, this is still pretty high praise from the man who is arguably the greatest scorer of all-time.
