ESPN Magazine did a poll of 30 anonymous NBA players asking them who they would want to take the last shot out of Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, and Lebron James. Players, not surprisingly, picked Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant over James. James response to the poll: “I really don’t care what 30 guys in our league say about me taking the last shot. I’ve got a few game winners in my career. I don’t let teams hang around too much for the last shot. I don’t think the definition of clutch is who takes the last shot. There are guys who come through for their teams in different circumstances.” Well…there you have it. Great answer by the reigning NBA MVP and Champ.

LeBron James reminded the world that the NBA season is approaching. In a preseason game against the Washington Wizards, LeBron threw down three nasty dunks.
As noted in the previous post, Miami Heat star LeBron James decided to have a rather epic dunkfest against the Washington Wizards.
With less than five minutes to play in the second quarter, LeBron threw down two nasty back-to-back jams which included a fastbreak double-pump jam and a nasty one-handed alley-oop dunk from Chris Bosh:

As he does from time to time, the Miami Heat's LeBron James answered questions from his followers via Twitter on Friday night.
He originally planned to do it for a just a few minutes, but extended the session to almost an hour, answering questions ranging from his favorite place to eat in Miami, funniest teammate and how he balances basketball and fatherhood. It's been awhile...

Andrew Wiggins, arguably the most hyped NBA prospect since LeBron James a decade ago, is about to land the most lucrative endorsement deal for an incoming rookie in history — of course, only after he finishes his freshman year at Kansas. Bleacher Report sources say Wiggins’ deal could be in the $140-$180 million range, and that Adidas is the front-runner at the moment:
For this month’s issue of ESPN the Magazine, ESPN’s Chris Broussard talked with Miami Heat star Lebron James about the upcoming Miami Heat season and some of his NBA heroes growing up in Ohio.
The two NBA heroes that LeBron focused on in the below excerpt from the full interview was Chicago Bulls star Michael Jordan and Philadelphia 76ers guard Allen Iverson:
“I watch Jordan...
Rich Paul is considered the frontrunner to represent Andrew Wiggins.
Paul also represents LeBron James, as well as Canadians such as Tristan Thompson, Cory Joseph and Myck Kabongo.
One NBA agent said he'd "be surprised" if Wiggins didn't end up with Paul.
Paul reportedly met Wiggins last summer in Ohio while James was working out with Kevin Durant.
Second-year shooting guard Bradley Beal torched the Miami Heat on Tuesday night with 29 points (in 31 minutes, no less) in a 100-82 victory for the Washington Wizards. But it was LeBron James who stole the show in the second quarter, throwing down back-to-back powerful fast break dunks that prove he’s ready for the season to begin.

This isn’t surprising to me.
A lot of NBA player could relate a lot more to Allen Iverson than say Michael Jordan. Most players looked up to Jordan, but their real lives were probably more like Iverson and The King was no different.
“I watch Jordan more than anybody, for sure,” James told ESPN’s Chris Broussard for a story in the upcoming issue of ESPN The Magazine. “But...
And to think the kid hasn’t even played a minute of college basketball yet. Incoming Kansas freshman is widely recognized as the best basketball prospect since LeBron James. Expected to be a superstar in the league, teams are prepping for what looks to be a star-studded 2014 NBA Draft class. Apparently though, it’s not just […]
If LeBron James wants to rope himself into the back-and-forth (or, for that matter, the silent treatment) that has accompanied the breakup of the Celtics’ Big Three, that’s just fine — Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce will take shots at him as well.
Garnett and Pierce had brief but pointed words for the Heat star this week after James accused the two of getting a break when they...
We all know how intense Kevin Garnett can be. LeBron James went on record to essentially call Garnett and teammate Paul Pierce hypocrites for the way they treated Ray Allen after leaving the Boston Celtics to join the Miami Heat last season last season. Garnett and Pierce, along with Doc Rivers and other Celtics’ players were quick to pass judgement on their former teammate (Allen...
Perception, is an extremely powerful thing.
There are some people who say it comes very close to reality in terms of importance, but one thing I will say is what people think is true is generally what they choose to believe. Even if it may not necessarily be the case.
That’s kind of how I feel about the anonymous player poll done by ESPN The Magazine, in which they asked current...
The legend of Michael Jordan dies a little more every day. While his status as basketball’s G.O.A.T remains under assault by LeBron James,…
Andrew Wiggins is yet to take to the court for the first time at Kansas, but he is largely projected as the first overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft. A draft many (but not all) Celtics fans hope to see Boston selecting very low in.
It is beginning to be reported that Wiggins may command a record breaking type of shoe deal when he does decide to turn pro:
Wow. Report that Andrew...
