This could have been about Chris Bosh being absent. It could have been about Michael Beasley finally being present and accounted for. But it was about what it almost always is about when it matters: LeBron James. And Dwyane Wade. Offering some of the best of their two-man game, James and Wade fueled the Heat to a 104-95 victory Tuesday night over the Toronto Raptors at the Air Canada Centre, the Heat's first road victory after failures to start the season in Philadelphia and Brooklyn. "With Chris out, we recognized we had to do a little more," Wade said. "It was a chance to play a little bit more two-man ball, but it's still always more than two-man ball." With coach Erik Spoelstra mixing and matching his rotations amid Bosh's absence, including a second-quarter stint for Beasley that featured consecutive 3-pointers from the once-and-again Heat forward, the Heat overcame another sluggish start and an 11-point first-half deficit to make it 12 consecutive victories over the Raptors. "Finally, a road win against a quality opponent," Spoelstra said. "We realized we're going to have to get our hands dirty." James led the Heat with 35 points, eight rebounds and eight assists, along the way becoming the fifth NBA to player to score in double digits in 500 consecutive games. "He turned it up in a lot of different areas," Spoelstra said. "You could see his energy." Wade, who took off last week's shocking loss to the 76ers to rest his balky knees, added 20 points, with six rebounds and five assists. While there were timely shots from Ray Allen and Shane Battier, who started in place of Bosh, this largely was a two-man game played to perfection, complete with the requisite Wade-James alley-oops. "It felt good. I'm getting there," said James, who has acknowledged early-season conditioning concerns.
