The Fantasy Kickoff:
In a much anticipated affair, the Los Angeles Clippers hosted the Miami Heat on Wednesday night. The game lived up to the hype. In an overtime battle, the Clippers escaped with a 95-89 victory.
Chris Paul, who was traded to the Clippers in the offseason, had perhaps his best game of the season: 27 points, 11 assists, six rebounds and three blocks. Blake Griffin added 20 points and 12 rebounds, while DeAndre Jordan had eight points, 11 rebounds and six blocks.
The Heat got 23 points, 13 rebounds and seven assists from LeBron James but it wasn’t enough. The Clippers scored the first two buckets of overtime and cruised to the win.
The win elevated the Lob City to 5-3, while the Miami Trice fell to 8-3.
