Found March 20, 2014 on That NBA Lottery Pick:
This season for Lakers fan hasn’t exactly been the greatest and well, local television for the Lakers has taken a bit hit. In a report today in Variety.com, it is believed that the local ranking for the Lakers are down nearly 50% from last year: Looking at Nielsen’s “Live plus same-day” ratings for the 2013-14 season, the 57 telecasts of Lakers games on Time Warner Cable SportsNet have averaged 199,000 viewers — down a whopping 49% from last year at this time (390,000). The Lakers’ ratings decline has swelled in recent weeks as even the most optimistic fan had to know that the team wasn’t headed for the postseason. Four of their last seven losses have come by 20 points or more and the three most recent Lakers games have averaged a meager 72,000 viewers; a year ago, games on the comparable dates averaged 586,000, or more than eight times as much. I have a feeling they will be up next season though… *** Nash/Kobe image courtesy of Getty Images

Don’t worry Phil and Iggy, I’m pretty sure that Jeanie is just talking about platonic love here. Either way, this is still a great quote. During an extended sit-down interview with Bill Macdonald from Time Warner Cable SportsNet, Jeanie Buss revealed that she has developed a sweet spot for Nick Young this season, something that could bode well for his chances of remaining with...

Kobe Says President Obama Could Make The Lakers Roster Right Now

Poor Lakers. The bootleg Lakers are undermanned, not very talented and have been hit by injuries all year, but Kobe has no sympathy for them at all. So @dpshow asks @kobebryant if @BarackObama could make the @lakers right now. Kobe: "Yes." — Arash Markazi (@ArashMarkazi) March 19, 2014 I feel bad for the bootleg Lakers because they play hard, but it has been a rough...

Lakers GM Mitch Kupchak Says Mike D’Antoni “Has Done a Great job”

A lot of Los Angeles Angeles Lakers fans will scoff at Mitch Kupchak’s assertion that head coach Mike D’Antoni has been anything but terrible but I think he has a valid point. D’Antoni has had to deal with so much adversity since joining the Lakers, some of it admittedly was self administered but a lot of it was out of his control. Kupchak defended his head coach in the...

It’s been a rough season for the Los Angeles Lakers and head coach Mike D’Antoni has been looking like he’ll be the scapegoat when all is said and done. Everyone knows the New York Knicks were Phil Jackson’s second choice.
