We had news earlier this week of the first casino to unveil its over/under wins projections for the 2012-13 NBA season. The predictions for the Cavs? Not too promising.

LVH SportsBook has Cleveland projected for 32.5 wins and a .396 winning percentage, tying for 10th in the Eastern Conference with the Detroit Pistons. Both teams are projected to be 11 games behind the Atlanta Hawks and Brooklyn Nets, who are tied for seventh place in the final two playoff positions.

Rounding out the Central Division, Indiana is projected for 51.5 wins, Chicago for 47.5 wins and Milwaukee is in ninth place with 36.5 wins. The Cavs are tied for the eighth-worst record in the NBA in these projections, placing them right in the middle of the lottery.

The Cavaliers finished with a 19-63 (.232) record in 2010-11 followed by a 21-45 (.318) mark in last year’s lockout-shortened season. Projected out to 82 games, the most recent total would be 26.1 wins. But, the Cavs began last season 16-23 (.410) before injuries took their toll and many D-Leaguers made their way into the starting lineup.
