A Glam Slam:
To raise awareness for World AIDS Day and to honor HIV/AIDS Awareness Month, Magic Johnson has teamed up with Shocking Goat on a special-edition timepiece. The watch company is known for its colorful, interchangable designs and the basketball legend is celebrating more than 20 years of changing lives through the Magic Johnson Foundation (MJF). Together they created the HIV/AIDS Awareness Red Ribbon watch set. The design includes a bright red band, with the Red Ribbon and MJF logo featured on the dial. The set comes with two additional bands in black and white, as well as a special edition Red Ribbon box.
The watch retails for $45 can be purchased at Finish Line stores and at ShockingGoat.com through World AIDS Day 2013. Proceeds will go directly to the Magic Johnson Foundation to assist in testing individuals who don’t have the financial means to do so.
In support of the MJF’s “All in for an End” campaign, which empowers people to lead the conversation with their friends, families and significant others about HIV and learn their own HIV status by getting tested, Shocking Goat will donate $30 per special edition watch sold back to the Magic Johnson Foundation, and $5 per all other watches sold on the web site during the month of December.

Tonight at the Breslin Center Jenison Field House, the Spartans will play a basketball game for the first time since 1989. They’ll face Tuskegee, but that’s not the real story line.
The real story line is the lasting memories that are still floating in the air of the stadium, from the “Game of change” in the 60′s when...
Dodgers owner Magic Johnson and GM Ned Colletti introduce Hyun-Jin Ryu last week.
I take no credit for that title… In truth I swiped it from a post I read on ESPN last week. No biggie, they won’t even know it’s gone, plus it’s the season of giving (and taking). So…
You know, the Dodgers had their own Annual Holiday Party today at Dodger Stadium – only it was a whole lot...
As I write this, the weather in Los Angeles is a comfortable, sunny 70 degrees. Inside Dodger Stadium however, they have turned up the heat. The Dodgers’ signing of Zack Greinke is only the latest in a series of blockbuster moves the team has made since Magic Johnson and some of his very [...]
