The Goodman League Roundball Classic was a success for the 2,000 plus who came out to see Chris Brown. Not so much for my eardrums.
Thanks to the not-so-convenient media “seating arrangement” at Henry Wise High School in Upper Marlboro yesterday afternoon, my Wizards Extreme partner, Asad Naqvi and I found ourselves absorbed by a flock of screeching pre-teens and pink iPhone cases. And I’m pretty certain we photo-bombed about a hundred mobile uploads to Facebook.
But last night it wasn’t the phenomenal replication of Michael Jackson’s moonwalk or the Grammy award winning vocals that had Breezy in the spotlight. Instead, he had the crowd buzzing with a mean stutter step crossover and a wet jumper.
And oh my God, speaking of wet -- Baltimore native and Memphis Grizzly Josh Selby buzzkilled Breezy's on-court appearance early as he knocked down tre's in every fashion and from every angle, scoring the team's first nine points.
The evening opened up with an AAU matchup...
