Spurs SG Manu Ginobli had this impressive pass through the legs of Heat guard Norris Cole during Thursday’s Game 1 of the NBA Finals. This play was insane even if it wasn’t Ginobili’s intention to throw the pass through a running defender’s legs.
BEST OF MAXIM
Spurs guard Manu Ginobili is 36 years of age, and next season would be his 12th. Ginobili will be a free agent this summer, and when asked by Rachel Nichols, said he wasn’t sure if he’d return next season.
Having battled injuries the past few seasons, and his game clearly not the same as it was years ago, Ginobili was asked if he might hang it up and retire?
“I don’t know...
Game 1 of the NBA Finals on Thursday night between the Spurs and Heat provided many exciting plays in what was a thrilling finish, but perhaps the best one was almost completely missed.
The incredible play came early in the second quarter when Spurs guard Manu Ginobili delivered a pass to a cutting Tony Parker. That obviously doesn’t sound very exciting, but wait until you actually...
Old? Yes, the Spurs definitely are that. Too old? They don’t think so.
As Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili drag their mid-30s bodies into an NBA Finals matchup with LeBron James and the Heat, much of the story has revolve around the Spurs players’ ages. Duncan is 37. Ginobili is 35. Tony Parker just turned 31 less than a month ago, although he feels older because he came into the...
You don't know a man until you a walk mile in their shoes, right?
Well, how about playing in a pair?
The Spurs' Manu Ginobili, Danny Green and Cory Joseph have been wearing LeBron James signature shoes all season and don't plan on changing that simply because they are playing them in the NBA Finals.
'We thought about it, but why change something that's been...
As much as it might seem that the San Antonio Spurs are not aging, Father Time eventually gets everybody. Tim Duncan and Tony Parker still going strong, but Manu Ginobili has been slowing down over the past few years, with numerous injuries piling up. Ginobili was asked last night after the game whether or not [...]
The NBA announced a new annual award dubbed the Twyman-Stokes Teammate of the Year Award, which will be awarded to its first winner prior to Game 2 of the NBA Finals. Spurs’ Manu Ginobili and Heat’s Shane Battier are both among the list of 12 nominees.
According to NBA.com:
The announcement and presentation of the Twyman-Stokes Teammate of the Year Award will be made before...
Personally, I’m still trying to figure out how San Antonio Spurs guard Manu Ginobili made this pass to Matt Bonner in the second quarter of the 2013 NBA Finals.
He must be some passing wizards of sorts…
Manu’s Nice Pass to Bonner [@BuzzFeed Sports]
MIAMI (AP) -- Manu Ginobili said before the NBA Finals started that Kawhi Leonard was San Antonio's only hope of containing LeBron James.
The awesome responsibility of defending the world's best player didn't faze the second-year swingman in the least.
Leonard was the point man in San Antonio's defense of James, who scored a playoff-low 18 points in the Spurs'...
Tony Parker left Norris Cole in the dust with a crazy spin move
Tony Parker had plenty of heroics down the stretch of the San Antonio Spurs upset win over the Miami Heat in Game 1 of the NBA Finals. The first of Parker’s heroics came with a second short of six minutes left on the clock in the fourth quarter, when the Spurs were pushing the ball in transition. Parker caught a pass...
It’s that time of year again as basketball fans around the globe are preparing for the saga known as the NBA Finals. This past season the Miami Heat seemed to take the next step to becoming the next great Dynasty after “The Streak”, and we saw yet another dominating season by the best player in the world. This has raised the question, “what does it take to beat the Heat?”...
Spurs' Tony Parker was "the man" in last night's San Antonio win over the Heat pouring in 21 points, 6 assists and 0 turnovers against the top-rated Heat defense.
Of course last night Parker's late-game bank-shot secured the win for the Spurs but lost in that highlight's shadow was what he did to Miami's Norris Cole.
In the fourth quarter, the Spurs...
