The Dallas Mavericks are close to a deal with DeJuan Blair.
Blair has been expected to leave the San Antonio Spurs for several seasons after he fell out of Gregg Popovich's rotation.
The Mavericks will feature the additions of Blair and Samuel Dalembert to the frontcourt this offseason.

Blair averaged 5.4 points and 3.8 rebounds in a limited role with San Antonio last season.
Ryan Richards will play professionally in Dubai next season.
Richards played last season with BC Vienna of Austria and has frequently moved teams throughout his career.
Richards played with the San Antonio Spurs in Summer League. Richards was the 49th overall pick in the 0210 NBA Draft.
The San Antonio Spurs have 11 contracts expiring prior to the 2015-16 season, just two years from now, including team-friendly deals (relative to their experience and production) to Tim Duncan, Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili. It certainly seems that the 2015-16 season will be a finite end to the vaunted Big Three era, though Spurs general manager R.C. Buford still maintains that San...
San Antonio Spurs guard Manu Ginobili was in South America with Basketball Without Borders in his home country of Argentina and recently even put his coaching hat on to help young players.
While part of the tour, Ginobili took time out to talk about the upcoming FIBA Americas Championship and qualifying for the 2014 World Cup with Argentinian site telam.com.
San Antonio Spurs' Tony Parker led the sixth place French team in points (94), shot attempts (81) and minutes (181) at the London Olympics last year -- all of which asserts his all-encompassing role in the offense, even if he's aging on the wrong side of 30. Parker didn't lead the team in assists -- Boris Diaw chipped in seven more -- but the offense's efficacy still...
San Antonio Spurs' Marco Belinelli, despite playing in 360 NBA games over six seasons, is a postseason novice.
Cory Joseph, 21, has appeared in two more playoff games than the 27-year-old Belinelli (18). That isn't entirely Belinelli's fault -- the 2010-11 New Orleans Hornets and 2012-13 Chicago Bulls, respectively, weren't exactly equipped to make deep...
On July 18, San Antonio Spurs guard Patty Mills announced he would be representing his home country of Australia this summer in international play at the FIBA Oceania tournament in mid August. On Tuesday, I received word via Twitter from Mills' Australian/Spurs teammate Aron Baynes he too will be joining Mills in representing the Boomers.
@aronbaynes are you playing...
The Greg Oden Sweepstakes: Why the San Antonio Spurs are the Best Fit.
By Aamir Mohammed: Senior Writer at HoopStuff….
In his attempt to comeback to the NBA hardwood, it looks like before we witness “the return” of Greg Oden, we must wait for “the decision” of the former number one pick.
Each team possesses a different situation to present to Oden, and some are better than...
Crazy, how the most insane NBA players are always wanted on the top NBA teams. I don't know what it is, maybe it is their swagger, their demeanor, or even the toughness they bring to the court. I just see them as train wrecks that bring their teams to the ground (look at what happened to JR Smith after he elbowed Jason Terry). As for Metta World Peace, to me, has played a little...
According to James Dugdale, a strength and conditioning coach, San Antonio Spurs 2010 draftee Ryan Richards will be playing somewhere in Dubai next season after winning a championship with BC Vienna of the Austrian League in his last season.
Also, heading down South shortly for another week with Ryan Richards before he heads off for a season in Dubai.

Daniel Levy will reluctantly bow to Gareth Bale’s desire to leave Tottenham if Real Madrid offer a world record £85million — plus a player.
The Spurs chairman’s stance has shifted after Bale decided during the Barclays Asia Trophy in Hong Kong that he wants to move to the Bernabeu.
Levy has maintained throughout the summer that his star asset will not be sold — and he still...
