There are a lot of quick and fast guards in the NBA, but Dallas Mavericks head coach Rick Carlisle seems to think he has the fastest one.
Carlisle told The Dallas Morning News that newly signed Mavericks guard Monta Ellis is the fastest player with the ball in the league.
Rick Carlisle has called newcomer Monta Ellis the fastest player in basketball, and Mark Cuban echoed that sentiment. “I never thought I’d see somebody make J.J. [Barea] look slow,” Cuban said. “Monta’s a blur. Monta truly is a one-man fast-break.”
Monta is quick, I’m not sure he’s faster with the ball than say Ty Lawson, Derrick Rose, or Russell Westbrook.
