After their preseason loss to the Sacramento Kings, some of the Lakers had the privilege of meeting the Stanley Cup in the locker room at Staples Center. Of course, Kobe merely gave it a glance, and Steve Nash, being the Canadian hero that he is, has met the Cup far too many times to care. Metta World Peace however, had never seen the greatest trophy in all of sports. He was like a little kid, completely in awe of it, and had several questions the keeper, one of which didn’t make the video:
What we’ve learned:
1. Ron Artest doesn’t know very much about hockey, but he knows the Stanley Cup is awesome.
2. He eats almonds as a post-game snack.
3. George Washington wasn’t able to make it out of his grave to meet the Stanley Cup.

Tweet Dwight Howard’s debut was the clear focus of the Lakers-Kings game Sunday evening, but Thomas Robinson had other plans with this sick put-back dunk over the new Lakers center: Robinson, the number five overall pick out of Kansas, is looks to have a lot of potential so far in preseason. John Salmons has been on leave from the Kings for personal reasons.
Former Kansas Jayhawk and Sacramento Kings rookie Thomas Robinson decided to introduce himself to new LA Lakers center Dwight Howard in stunning fashion, slamming home a Kings’ miss right over Howard’s back. The height he gets is truly impressive:

He should [...]
Dwight Howard played in his first preseason game for the Lakers as they faced off against the Kings at Staples Center. WHile Howard’s debut was rusty yet impressive, he forgot that even in preseason, you have to put a body on your man. Check out Thomas Robinson’s putback dunk on DH12 To be fair, [...]
The news of this NBA off season has no doubt been the trade of Dwight Howard to the Lakers. Howard, who was recovering from back surgery, played his first preseason for the Lakers over the weekend against the Kings.
In that game Kings rookie, Thomas Robinson welcomed Howard back to action. Off a Kings three pointer missed shot Robinson took the rebound and threw down a one handed...
Tweet Two-time NBA MVP Steve Nash and three-time Defensive Player of the Year Dwight Howard are now linked thanks to the two of them joining the Los Angeles Lakers this past offseason. In Howard’s preseason debut he was pranked prior to the start of the game. Nash had a little something to do with [...]
I'm not one to ever put stock into the pre-season for any reason. There are lots of variables. Like, a player playing his first game with a team (a la Dwight Howard with the Lakers), and thus what does it mean? Usually nothing. Tonight had an interesting wrinkle: The Lakers played their starters down the stretch, and the Kings played all of their reserves and DeMarcus Cousins...
