From No Guts, No Glory:

When it comes to Metta World Peace, nothing he says or does should surprise you. Whether it’s wishing everyone a Happy Labor Day when it’s really Memorial Day, or elbowing James Harden in the head, or even changing his name from Ron Artest to Metta World Peace, we've seen and heard just about everything from Mr. World Peace.

So it doesn’t surprise us at all to see his response when asked if Steve Nash was the smartest player on the Lakers.

The response comes courtesy of LA Times blogger Mark Medina’s Twitter account.

Yep, that’s Metta World Peace for you.

Ron Artest credits Steve Nash’s intelligence to him being white.

Over the years, I’ve come to learn that are times when Ron Artest is seriously crazy and there are others that he’s just a really bad joke teller. Please Click Here To Read This Story

Metta World Peace might sign as boxer for Floyd Mayweather’s promotional company

Metta World Peace has joked about joining the NFL in the past, but he’s always been serious about exploring a boxing career in addition to playing professional basketball. The Lakers forward is so serious about boxing that he actually met with several promoters. He even says that he may sign with Floyd Mayweather Jr.’s promotional company — the Money Team. “I know Floyd...

Nash leading Lakers' move to Princeton offense

(Eds: APNewsNow. With AP Photos.) By GREG BEACHAM AP Sports Writer Steve Nash is learning about much more than just his new city and new teammates during his first few days with the Los Angeles Lakers. The two-time MVP point guard is also learning an offense that's like nothing he has ever run in 16 NBA seasons. The Lakers are incorporating major elements of the famed ball...

Metta World Peace just speaks his mind

Ron Artest, errrrr, Metta World Peace, please don’t ever change. The artist formerly known as Ron Artest has a history littered with off the cuff comments that are questionable, and actions that are borderline irredeemable (we all remember what happened way back that night in The Palace). Metta World Peace has become a voice for [...]

Gortat: 'I'm going to be fine' without Nash

PHOENIX -- Based on suggestions from the barking dogs of pessimism, the Phoenix Suns must replace a Hall-of-Fame point guard and their starting center. Steve Nash and his more conventional haircut have left for Los Angeles. Marcin Gortat, according to Nash-as-Geppetto theory, will be returning to mediocrity. But the 28-year-old Gortat, who produced career highs in points (15.4...

'New' Suns begin first camp of post-Steve Nash era

With coach Alvin Gentry's pronouncement, ''They're gone and they're not coming back,'' the Phoenix Suns prepared to open their first training camp of the post-Steve Nash and Grant Hill era. The Suns have six new players, not counting the five they added this week to pad the roster for the camp's opening in San Diego on Tuesday. The latter group includes...

Gasol glad to still be a Laker

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. -- Los Angeles was ready to erupt into fireworks. After all, it was July 4th when news broke the Lakers were on the verge of acquiring Steve Nash from the Phoenix Suns in a sign-and-trade. Mike Brown was oh, so happy. Lakers fans everywhere were ecstatic. Suns fans were not. Neither was Denver Nuggets head coach George Karl, who admitted to the Denver Post...

Kobe Says Some Of You Are Dumb, And He’s Right

“Here’s the thing: Some people are just very, very dumb. I keep hearing it from some people that I just want to score and that other stuff. Nobody has won more championships than me in my entire generation. I’ve got five of them. You can’t be selfish and win one championship, let alone five. That argument should be in the coffin by now. I don’t like having the ball....
