State Of The Celtics:
This would be a great signing for Boston. Pietrus is a bigger guy with above average defensive ability and can hit from long range. Last season was far from his best as he only shot 39 percent from the field and 34 percent from three-point range, but he has the ability to get hot in a hurry and he would make the Celtics that much deeper off the bench. Besides, I still have nightmares about Pietrus killing the Celtics in the 2009 Eastern Conference Semis as he sank big shot after big shot. If you can't beat him, sign him.
The Celtics left a roster spot open for a reason. Even though they initially said that they would enter the season with what they had after word came out that Jeff Green would be lost for the year, Paul Pierce's heel situation might have made the front office rethink their stance.
With all of that being said, I learned my lesson from the David West fiasco. I'll be excited once the I's are dotted, the T's are crossed and the press release is s...

Despite the Celtics playing without Paul Pierce, the Knicks still had to sweat it out before Carmelo Anthony saved Christmas.

The Celtics had a poor off-season as well. David West spurning them for the Pacers was a major blow, and Jeff Green’s tragic heart condition really takes away their depth. They failed to improve this off-season, and their big three is continuing to age. Their championship window is soon closing.

The Knicks made a smart move when they...
