Kobe Bryant has never been shy about being vocal. He came to the aid of teammate Pau Gasol on multiple occasions during multiple trade rumors. On Thursday, he took to Twitter to express his thoughts on the player he dubbed "Vino Blanco," Steve Blake, being traded to the Golden State Warriors. "Not cool with @SteveBlake5 being gone AT ALL," Bryant tweeted. "One of my closest teammates and psycho competitor." Once the summer rolls around Lakers general manager Mitch Kupchak, who has money to spend, expects that he'll hear from Bryant on how to use that money. "I'm sure he'll tell me the player that he'd like to have," Kupchak said when meeting the media at the team facility on Thursday afternoon. "If it's in line with what we would like to have then I think there will be some influence but if we're on opposite ends then there probably won't be much influence." Kupchak isn't sugarcoating what's happen...

Lakers News: Kobe Bryant out at least three more weeks

It’s really starting to look like Kobe Bryant might not come back this season. Bryant, who fractured his left knee in a game against the Memphis Grizzlies in December, was re-evaluated on Friday night before the Lakers’ game against the Boston Celtics, though the diagnosis was much of the same. According to the Lakers, the five-time NBA champion is still experiencing pain and...

Kobe Bryant not fading away, if he can help it

There was one presence at NBA All-Star Weekend that was missing from the West lineup and from the lineup of the league's greatest stars. He was there, but hardly himself and hardly what fans want to see him as -- much less what he wants to see himself as. Kobe Bryant was everywhere at All-Star Weekend except the court for the All-Star Game. Bryant is coming back from the torn...

Hope that Kobe Bryant will be able to play before the end of the season took another hit Friday when the Lakers said the superstar is still experiencing swelling and soreness in his left knee. Bryant was examined Friday by a team physician, and will be reevaluated in three more weeks, the Lakers said. There are 27 games remaining, and it’s unclear if Bryant could return before...

Kobe Bryant Examined, Out At Least Three More Weeks

Can the Lakers compete without Kobe? (via Lakers Nation) As the Los Angeles Lakers toil in consistent losing misery that has not been seen since their Minneapolis days, Kobe Bryant still hides in the shadows of injury and uncertain return. His uniform has been replaced by a (very nice) suit and his on-court tenacity can now only been seen in glimpses when he is instructing teammates...

Lakers' Kobe Bryant out for at least another three weeks

The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Boston Celtics last night by the score of 101-92. The win was the Lakers' 19th of the season. The bad news is that they have played 55 and are in fourth place in the Pacific Division, 17 games behind the Clippers. The nightmarish season is largely in part to injuries to key players such as Steve Nash, Kobe Bryant, Nick Young, Steve ...

Los Angeles Lakers continous struggle

(Photo credit: @Lakersnation on Twitter) The Los Angeles Lakers didn’t shock the world in the days leading up to the trade deadline, unless you count Steve Blake as a valuable Laker. Blake was given away for Kent Bazemore and MarShon Brooks. Not exactly the most exciting trade that has occurred, but the Lakers did receive a 2.8 million trade exception, which will be a useful asset...

Kobe Bryant Seems Totally Thrilled With Steve Blake Being Traded To The Warriors

Hopefully somebody told Kobe Bryant that this trade was happening before it went down, but from the looks of his latest Tweet it doesn’t seem that way.   The Black Mamba took to Twitter to express how ‘not cool’ it is to have Steve Blake gone from the Lakers. Article found on: Next Impulse Sports

Lakers Rumors: Nets, Suns, Cavs, Mavs, Hawks all interested in Jordan Hill; Mitch Kupchak meeting with Jim Buss tonight to decide on move

With just hours to go until the 2014 trade deadline, the market for Jordan Hill has suddenly exploded, and rightly so. Hill has been a solid player for the Los Angeles Lakers over the years, and has proven himself to be a hard-nosed guy who will scrap for loose balls and, of course, offensive rebounds. However, Hill’s talents are wasted on this 18-35 Lakers team – and it’s...

MarShon Brooks grew up as a big Lakers and Kobe Bryant fan, vows to play hard in L.A.

It’s always nice when you trade for guys who appreciate the Lakers’ winning tradition. The Los Angeles Lakers moved Steve Blake for MarShon Brooks and Kent Bazemore on Wednesday night, and it looks as if both players will make their debut for the purple and gold tonight against the Boston Celtics. For Brooks, suiting up for the Lake Show and being the Black Mamba’s teammate...

Agent: Nick Young wants to stay with the Lakers

PHOTO: ajansspor.com While Mitch Kupchak said earlier this week that he expects Nick Young to opt-out of his contract after this season, Swaggy P’s agent says that doesn’t necessarily mean he wants to head elsewhere. “Nick wants to be a Laker,” Young’s agent, Mark Bartelstein told Mark Medina from the L.A. Daily News. “But his focus right now is to get healthy, get back...

Kobe Bryant tweets displeasure with Steve Blake trade

Kobe Bryant ‘not cool’ with Lakers trading Steve Blake

The Lakers made it pretty clear that they are rebuilding and aiming for the best draft pick possible when they traded Steve Blake to the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday for Kent Bazemore and MarShon Brooks. Blake wasn’t with the Lakers long enough to really become a total fan favorite, but his departure didn’t sit […]
