Via Rant Sports:

Will Ferrell is a comedic genius. Wednesday night, he took his talents to New Orleans to do the player introductions for the Chicago Bulls-New Orleans Hornets game.

The introductions are for an upcoming movie, which I’ll probably have to see.  His introductions for Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah were classic.

Thanks to CSN Chicago for the video.

  • He mocked ALL the players! It was the highlight of the return to the'80's themed game- It was like watching a high school team play a lackluster college team, neither of whom played like they wanted to be there. Awful basketball on both sides, the Hornets just stunk more! Will Ferrell was the one treat of a night that I would like to forget, much like the hairdo's anmd fluorescent colors of the 80's!
  • i love semi-pro
  • I'm not a fan of Will Ferrell. I don't understand how people find his so-called humor funny. I guess it's described as "to each his own."
  • Just cause it's not your flavor, don't knock him too much. I am worried that outspoken people like you are going to ruin my favorite actors' career. It's obvious he is not the worlds' favorite comedian, but it should also be obvious he has a huge cult following and you should respect that, if not for us fans then at least for the sake of this mans career. You say "to each his own" immediately following "so called humor", what gives man? In todays world of online media, where those in power cater not to justice, but rather to whoever is loudest and thus the most influencial (sad), a stampede of ignorant people have the capability of ruining a persons life and thats all I'm trying to prevent from happening to poor Will. I love the man, and plenty of other intelligent people do as well. Whatever labels or conceptions you brand him with, I find him incredibly witty, smart and original. Same with Danny McBride as a matter of fact, and he receives the same kind of raised eyebrows as Will does. I try not to act that way, but plenty of Will fans perceive those who dont understand his humor, in the same way naysayers perceive us fans - kind of wondering if you are numskulls or just really confused how to you don't "get it". You are entitles to your opinion and I feel bad for bashing you, I just hope he keeps making movies and all the hate aimed his way has no negative effect on his career thats all. I want to see dozens more Will comedies.
  • Tallyho - you are dead on man. Thank you. Most of the clowns that get their jollies from negatively critiquiting others online are cowards. That's where the internet has major flaws. I'm actually not pointing my comments at ljp123 directly. I don't think his/her comments were so bad. I more so mean in general with the way people act. Computers and the interest let people hide behind the screen, so they say and do whatever they want. Face to face it would be a completely different story. To your point of...

"In todays world of online media, where those in power cater not to justice, but rather to whoever is loudest and thus the most influencial (sad), a stampede of ignorant people have the capability of ruining..."(you can pretty much fill in the blank after that).

This goes beyond commenting on an article about a comedian. The media thrives on the ignorant and is a master manipulator. This carries over into many decisions we make in our lives, including politics, relationship, etc. It is sad...and fightening if you stop and think about it too much. But...what are you going to do? I'll tell you what you should do. Be a good, hard working person, surround yourself with others with the same characterists, and have some god damn balls to stand your ground when you need to!

    That's all. Onward...
  • Exactly, Ferrell is hilarious to most of the free world. Sucks for him that he has no sense of humor. http://lionsdetroit.com
  • You are soooo right to "each his own"
  • This is not funny...this is lame.
  • This was not funny at all, maybe if I drank a 5th of scotch it might have been. He sucked !!!!!!!!!!
  • Like most of his material, it's lost on me. Hilarious? Classic? You are joking, right?
  • If you drink a 5th of scotch you sure will suck.....
  • Not funny at all. Very sophomoric and this alone would prevent me from paying to see the movie.
  • This was about about as funny as a fart in a space suit or a turd in a punchbowl. Ferrell should have quit after ELF.
  • Funny... not even close.
  • I'm hit and miss with Ferrell. While I think he at times displays "comedic genius", the tone of the article made me expect much more. A couple funny ones was more appropriate.
  • will who ? ? ? ? ?

this dude is about as funny as cancer
  • What is wrong with you people????? Will Ferrell is very funny. Where's your sense of humor? Talladega Nights, Stepbrothers, The Other Guys, Old School....Hello!!! These are classics. Will is the best!!! I'll watch any movie he does. He never lets me down.

Derrick Rose asks Isiah Thomas for some winning advice

Say what you want about Isiah Thomas, but he was one of the all time greats of the NBA. In my opinion, he gets overlooked during the "golden years" of the 80s. They always mention Magic, Bird, and Jordan, but fail to mention Thomas. He was one of the fiercest competitors that ever played. For a little guy, he had a lot of heart and was one of the toughest players in the...
