The 2013 NBA Playoffs are now underway, which means the return of my NBA post-game fashion segment. It’s been a while, but now it’s back for another exciting post-season. The playoffs are a very competitive time of the year, you must elevate your game on the court, and your fashion game off the court. Lets check out some fashionable looks, from Game 1′s of the first round of the 2013 NBA playoffs. Whose was your favorite??
Carmelo Anthony(New York Knicks) kept it cool and casual dressing up a solid crew neck tee, which a beige sports coat, and adding a bit of flair to his look with a print newsboy hat.
Deron Williams(Brooklyn Nets) spruced up a solid suit with patterns, electing for a gingham shirt, checkered plaid necktie, and polka dot pocket square. Great selection of hues D-Will !
Blake Griffin went with a simple approach, donned in a subtle gray suit, and white spread collar shirt, electing to go sans the necktie. Personally, I think a nice black necktie would of made this look much better.
Golden State Warriors sharp shooter Steph Curry, was looking, pretty, ummmm, sharp in his window pane pattern suit, as Guard Jarrett Jacket kept the hues subtle paring a solid suit, with a pattern shirt and tie combination.
King James(Miami Heat) is giving Russell Westbrook a run for his money, as he wore a bold printed $54 Staple Fallon Crewneck Sweatshirt over a white collar shirt.
Russell Westbrook(OKC Thunder) is always making a fashion statements, as he went for an edgy look last night wearing a sleeveless black hoodie, accessorizing with gold chain, and clear frame glasses.
James Harden(Houston Rockets) wore a unique navy collar shirt, with brown leather detail.
BEST OF MAXIM
The Heat crushed the Bucks in tonight’s playoff game 110-87. LeBron James had a monster game, going 9-11 from the field en route to a dominating 27 point performance. The Bucks hung around for a bit, but when it was time to put the game away, the Heat did so with ease.

Carmelo Anthony‘s individual talents are no secret. The NBA’s leading scorer this season has made six All-Star Games and five All-NBA teams, but entering this postseason Anthony has made it out of the first round of the playoffs only once in his 10-year career. The lack of team success has left him open to criticism that one of the game’s great individual players is missing...
"Don't worry Jeff, I'm not passing."
Dan Shaughnessy wrote an article for this morning's Boston Globe entitled "Knicks' Carmelo Anthony will never win it all." He opens by simply saying "overrated ball hog," and later writes "today’s Knicks are Diana Ross and the Supremes. And Melo is the Supreme Diva." In describing...
At a time when Jeremy Lin should be focusing on Russell Westbrook and the Oklahoma City Thunder, a glimpse at his Twitter page shows that Lin, like millions of people around the world right now, is spending plenty of time screaming at his iPhone.
"Ive been stuck on level 147 of candy crush for an entire week," Lin tweeted this weekend. "I even had a dream about disco...
In light of the tragic events surrounding this year's Boston Marathon, both Carmelo Anthony and Paul Pierce took to the court in the Madison Square Garden prior the first game between the Celtics and Knicks to express support in trying times. When Pierce began his speech, a few boos resounded through MSG from New Yorkers in the audience. Check out the incident below: Per WEEI...
Game 1 between the Oklahoma City Thunder and The Houston Rockets was a massacre. The Rockets got punched in the mouth, plain and simple. Of course there was a Russell Westbrook highlight. Towards the end of the third quarter, Russ put Rockets Patrick Beverly on skates.
Russell was charged with an offensive foul. Didn’t really matter, the Thunder were up by 20 at that point...
LeBron James has never taken fewer shots in a playoff game than
he did on Sunday night, which at first glance might seem like a
good thing for the Milwaukee Bucks.
LeBron James typically cannot sleep much before the first game of a postseason. Even after 10 years in the league, three MVP awards and a championship, Game 1 still kicks his anxiety level into high gear.
''Like the night before Christmas,'' James said.
Makes sense, since the Miami Heat have been waiting about a year for this.
The eight preseason outings, the 82...
The Thunder won Game 1 of their opening playoff series versus the Rockets 120-91 and to add insult to injury, Russell Westbrook decided to make Patrick Beverly look absolutely silly.
In the third quarter, Beverly caught himself one-on-one with Westbrook and the moment you saw Russell start to dance with the ball, you knew something awful for Patrick was going to happen and something...

Carmelo Anthony scored 34 points, Sixth Man of the Year J.R. Smith added 19, and the New York Knicks opened a 2-0 lead over the Boston Celtics with an 87-71 victory on Tuesday night., http://juicedsportsblog.com/sports-news/news/knicks-shut-down-celtics-to-take-20-lead
The Knicks took a very crucial game one in this best of seven series first round playoff match-up against the Boston Celtics. Even without the youth or talent of past years, the Celtics still know how to turn it up a notch come playoff time. The Knicks had real trouble slowing them down in the beginning of the game. They gave up twenty nine first quarter points to the Celtics but...

New York Knicks 85 – Boston Celtics 78
The New York Knicks laid the pipe down on the Boston Celtics to take the first lead in a potential 7 game series. Carmelo Anthony was very much like his scoring champion self, going off for 36 points on 13 of 29 shooting, 6 rebounds, 4 steals and dishing his only assist of the afternoon to Kenyon Martin...
Down by four at halftime of game one of their playoff series against the Celtics, the Knicks clearly needed to come out in the second half with a little more pep in their step.Alas, surprising to some was the fact that it was not New York's defense that needed an injection of life, but their offense instead. Mike Woodson seemed to understand that, and had a plan for the rest...
8 a.m. ET: After pulling off the seemingly impossible by scoring just eight points in the fourth quarter of a loss in Game 1, the Celtics look to do something much less jaw-dropping in Game 2 by winning the game.
Jeff Green, who scored 26 points, and Carmelo Anthony, who dropped a game-high 36 points, were the clear stars of Game 1. But Celtics coach Doc Rivers was immensely impressed...
