29. Paul Pierce (Brooklyn Nets) Paul Pierce a.k.a The Truth spent his best years with the Boston Celtics. While he is no longer with the Celtics I look for Pierce to want to return to the NBA Championship but first he needs to show his team and the NBA that he still has some Truth left in the tank. 2012-2013 Season Stats: 33.4 mpg, 18.6 ppg, 6.3 rpg, 4.8 apg 28. Brook Lopez (Brooklyn Nets) It’s no secret Brook Lopez has made his presence felt since being in the NBA. Lopez has been referred to as one of the best centers in the league if he can stay healthy and take his game to new heights. Honestly, Brook has the right system and a great mentor in Kevin Garnett who was acquired this off-season. 2012-2013 Season Stats: 30.4 mpg, 19.4 ppg, 6.9 rpg, 0.9 apg 27. Tyson Chandler (New York Knicks) Former defensive player of the year Tyson Chandler is arguably the best shot-blocker in the Eastern Conference. Although, last year Chandler had a decent year it could have been alot better. He faced the injury bug multiple times last year which ended up hurting the already injured Knicks team in last years postseason. 2012-2013 Season Stats: 32.8 mpg, 10.4 ppg, 10.7 rpg, 1.0 apg 26. Deron Williams (Brooklyn Nets) Williams is a sure top 5 pg in my opinion but his health is a big concern I have. Their is no doubt Williams has all the intangibles to lead his team to the Nba Finals let alone the Conference finals. I look for him to lead his new look Nets team even deeper into the playoffs this time around. 2012-2013 Season Stats: 36.4 mpg, 18.9 ppg, 3.0 rpg, 7.7 apg 25. Demarcus Cousins (Sacramento Kings) Cousins is a player on the rise in my eyes. Even though he led the league in technical fouls for a lengthy period during last season. He has proven he can guard and score on some of the leagues best players. Maybe that’s what landed him the big contract extension this off-season. 2012-2013 Season Stats: 30.5 mpg, 17.7 ppg, 9.9 rpg, 2.7 apg.
