This photo first leaked onto the Internet with NBA’s expected Christmas Day uniforms.  The only issue with this leak is that the Boston Celtics don’t actually play on Christmas Day, raising the question as to when they will wear these uniforms. Another photo leaked, this time including the Los Angeles Lakers uniform. Bottom line, the sleeved uniforms need to go.  They look terrible and these uniforms as a whole look brutal.  Perhaps if the logos actually had some colors on them they would look better, but Adidas has basically turned the NBA into the MLS with these jerseys. Celtics Minute with Emily Austen for 11/7

In today's Celtics Minute, the theme seems to be consistency. Brad Stevens was happy with the Celtics ball movement on Wednesday night against the Jazz. He liked that they didn't over dribble and that they made the extra pass. But, the challenge is going to be to do it again, and again, and again. Brandon Bass also shares his thoughts on the win and what the Celtics...

Boston Celtics win second-straight, 91-89

Not many have patience for the “give it time” message Brad Stevens and the Celtics organization has been sending out all season. Perhaps it’s just a way of deflecting early criticism, or maybe Stevens is actually on to something. Six players hit double-digits in the scoring column, The C’s limited turnovers, and Boston went on to beat the Orlando Magic 91-89 en route to its...

Post Up: Celtics Win!!!!

Celtics 97 - Jazz 87  After 4 futile tries, the Celtics finally got their first win of the season.   Granted that it was over the Jazz, who were also looking for their first win, but a win is a win and it felt good for both players and fans.  I think the difference may have been in some changes that Brad Stevens made in his lineups. First, starting Jordan Crawford at the...

Rajon Rondo Shows Off Style, Has Passion for Fine Clothes, Looking Good (Video)

When Kevin Garnett was with the Celtics, he had a nickname for Rajon Rondo: Swag. Rondo’s style choices were unmatched on the team — not better or worse, just different. While Paul Pierce preferred three-piece suits and Garnett had a soft spot for sweaters, Rondo’s fashion is a little more out there. The only NBA player who might be more daring with his outfits is Thunder point...

Boston Celtics at Miami Heat: My, How Things Have Changed

As the Boston Celtics continue the beginning of their long, difficult journey of rebuilding, they face one of their most daunting tests of the young 2013-14 season: the NBA champion Miami Heat.   With only two wins under their belts--a 97-87 victory over an inexperienced, winless and downright sloppy Utah Jazz squad on Wednesday, and a victory over the young Orlando Magic Friday...

Comments from the Other Side - Magic 11/8

This was a fun game to watch.  The Celtics scrapped and ground it out the entire game.  I love teams that play defense and somehow, that has become the identity of this team.  It's funny that with KG and Pierce gone, many fans simply don't hate the Celtics any more.  I love reading complaints about how many Celtics fans are there on the road, even in a rebuilding year...

C's might actually be learning to win

It's amazing how winning a couple games can change one's outlook. A week ago, the Celtics were playing their way into front-runner status in the "Riggin for Wiggins" sweepstakes. Today, they head to Miami with a two-game winning streak and maybe just as important, confidence that if they can keep the game close they can (gasp!) win. A victory in South Beach is...

How Boston Can Rid Themselves of Gerald Wallace

When the Boston Celtics traded Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett to the Brooklyn Nets, the focus of the deal was that the team was shipping out two players that had helped them win a championship a few years prior. What many overlooked was what they got in return. It was more or less addition by ...The post How Boston Can Rid Themselves of Gerald Wallace appeared first on The League News.

Green's 3 at the buzzer stuns Heat, 111-110

Exceeding expectations are one thing, but this was ridiculous. Down by two points with :00.6 left, Jeff Green gathered in an inbound pass from Gerald Wallace and proceeded to sink a three-pointer from the corner as the buzzer sounded. The result was a 111-110 victory for the Celtics over the world champion Heat in Miami “Gerald made a great pass. Kelly [Olynyk] made a great screen...

Celtics hang on 91-89 against Magic for first road win

The Celtics claimed their ninth straight win over the Magic, this time beating Orlando, 91-89, Friday night. Leading the way against the Magic — who had won three in a row — was another strong performance from Brandon Bass, who finished with 16 points and seven rebounds. The Celtics, who improve to 2-4, also go double-digit outputs from Avery Bradley (14 points), Jordan Crawford...

Live Game Updates - Heat 11/9

End first: After one quarter in Miami, the Celtics trail the Heat, 31-25. Well, so far the Celts are hanging in there. They're doing exactly what they need to do. They're not winning, but they're competing. They're giving their fans something to watch.  [Discuss on CG Forums!]

Are We There Yet?

Image: hangdynasty   “It is big for us you know we can definitely build on tonight. We had some bad habits toward the end of the game. I don’t feel like we finished as strong as we could, but it was a great team win”, said Avery Bradley. That truly described the first win of the season for the C’s—-a team win. This night belonged to the bench players: Jared Sullinger and...

Game 6 of 82: Boston Celtics defeat the Magic in Orlando and win second straight.

The Celtics hold off Magic to win it 91-89. In the 1st quarter, a slow start to the game by both teams had it tied 4-4 with 9:00 left. Great ball movement by the Magic led to a 3 but then a quick fire 6-0 run put Boston on top 10-7 with 7:50 left. The Magic responded with an 8-0 blitz to lead 15-10 at the first timeout with 5:34 remaining. Out of timeout, the Magic continued the...

Celtics-Magic Live: Avery Bradley, C’s Eye Second Straight Win on Visit to Orlando

8 a.m. ET: You can’t get to two straight wins without winning one first. The Celtics (1-4) will look to do the unthinkable and win their second consecutive game when they visit the Orlando Magic (3-2) on Friday. It is unthinkable because, just a couple days ago, even winning one game seemed outlandish for the Celtics. Gerald Wallace, who has a newfound respect for his bench role...
