Returning home to face the New Jersey Nets might be what the Miami Heat need to break out of a rare rough stretch. With Chris Bosh expected back, the Heat look to continue their recent success both at home and against the Nets on Tuesday night when they try to avoid matching a season high with a third straight loss. For the first time since a three-game skid Jan. 10-13, Miami (28-9) has lost consecutive games. LeBron James passed up a chance at the final shot in a 99-98 loss at Utah on Friday, then could not help the Heat stop a determined Kobe Bryant in Sunday's 93-83 defeat at Los Angeles. The Heat finished 1-2 on the trip without Bosh (18.4 points, 8.3 rebounds per game), who was attending his grandmother's funeral. The veteran forward is expected to return Tuesday as Miami tries to win 10 straight at home for the first time since a 14-game run Jan. 22-March 16, 2007. "We all know that Chris is a big part of our team,'' said James, who averaged 32.7 point...

Bosh working hard to honor late grandmother

MIAMI Not that Chris Bosh hasn't been working hard, but now he has another reason to do it. The Miami Heat forward returned Tuesday night after missing three games due to the death of his grandmother, Gloria White, at 77. Now Bosh wants to keep her memory going. How does he do that? "Work hard," said Bosh, who scored a game-high 20 points in a 108-78 walloping of...

If she completes the service hours, a disorderly intoxication charge also will be dismissed....

What’s Lebron James carrying?

Before the Lakers, Heat game Sunday afternoon, Lebron James was caught entering Staples Center with a peculiar “purse,” if you will, in his right hand. Via Jimmy Traina of Sports Illustrated: So what is Lebron carrying? Take you best guess in the comments below.

Portland Trail Blazers Need An Injection Of Effort

Like a lot of us, I watched the Miami Heat conduct a clinic on NBA basketball using the Blazers as guinea pigs. The only thing missing from what amounted to an execution was a cigarette and a blindfold. And Chris Bosh wasn’t even in town. The Blazers aren’t the only team to be surgically disassembled by the Heat. It’s just that I can’t shake the feeling that Portland’s...

LeBron James: His Own Worst Enemy

A man purse? C'mon, LeBron!

Don't stamp Thunder's ticket to Finals just yet

There's a growing sentiment nearing a critical mass, even that Oklahoma City and Miami are pretty much locks to reach the Finals. It'd be a sexy series Kevin Durant trying to take LeBron James' title as best player alive, Durant and Russell Westbrook trying to out-highlight and out-swagger the JamesDwyane Wade duo, James Harden and his beard battling Chris Bosh to...

Kragthorpe: LeBron passes up chance to beat Jazz

The Jazz won this game because Al Jefferson, shockingly, passed the ball. Miami lost this game because LeBron James, inexplicably, passed the ball. That convergence in the final, frantic seconds Friday night resulted in the signature victory of this Jazz season and coach Tyrone Corbin's career, while raising more questions about the finishing ability of the world's best...

Was LeBron Carrying a Purse?

Despite monster days from Rajon Rondo and Deron Williams, many social media users still wanted to talk about LeBron James‘ murse he was carrying while walking through the tunnel in the Staples Center on Sunday. What’s in there? Why was he carrying it? All legitimate questions. Is it just a dopp kit with some toiletries;...Read the Rest...
