The NBA trade deadline has come and gone, and former Wizards guard Nick Young has been rescued. Anytime you get an opportunity to go from a 10-34 team to a 26-18 team that features Chris Paul and Blake Griffin, you rejoice. At the moment, nobody wants to play for the Wizards. The Clippers, on the other hand, are one of the most exciting young teams in the league.
“It’s been crazy,” Young said during an interview with Fox Sports Radio’s Petros and Money. “I actually found out from my parents first I think. My mom called me screaming and said it went through and everything. It’s been wild you know?
“I don’t know (what was wrong in Washington). We had a curse on us for some reason. We were on Not Top 10 every night. Every night it was something and we couldn’t break the habit. They drafted me and I’m going to miss those guys on the team.”
Sportscenter only features the Not-So Top 10 on Fridays, but you get the point. As for the problem in Washington, I wouldn’t say “curse” is the righ

Clippers management asked Nick Young whether he knew the way to Staples Center, but of course he did.
He could drive it from memory. And as the Los Angeles native, who starred at Reseda Cleveland High and then at USC, weaved along the freeways of his youth Saturday, he did so slowly, and not just because of rain or traffic.
"I was just trying to take this all in, as I was...
REASON TO CHEER
After a dispute with the team, it looks like Clippers super fan Darrell is back cheering on the team after they came to an agreement.
LOS ANGELES Chris Paul stuck his head into the Clippers' huddle at the end of the third quarter and, as is his habit, reminded his teammates, who were trailing once again, that it was now winning time.
In truth, though, it was Paul time.
For the second day in a row, and seemingly the umpteenth time this season, the Clippers were pushed, prodded and pulled to a victory by their...
LOS ANGELES Although he had big hugs for his former teammates on the Pistons, Chauncey Billups made no bones about which team he was cheering for Sunday at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
"The Clippers, of course," Billups said as he left the arena in a walking boot with crutches.
Billups tore his left Achilles tendon Feb. 6 during a win in Orlando and is out for...
The Wizards signed the NBA D-League’s leading scorer, Edwin Ubiles, to a 10-day contract the other day. I had no idea who this kid was, but after some research and film watching, I’ve got to say that Ubiles could really spark this team.
Playing for the Dakota Wizards this season, the 25-year-old Ubiles is averaging 20.1 points per game, 5.1 rebounds, and 3.3 assists with just...
Chris Paul scored nine of his 19 points in overtime and added a season-high 15 assists, carrying the Los Angeles Clippers to an 87-83 victory over the Detroit Pistons on Sunday.
Blake Griffin had 17 points and 11 rebounds, and he tipped in Paul's missed layup with 19 seconds left in regulation before Paul swiped the ball from Tayshaun Prince to send it to overtime.
INDIANAPOLIS If the Clippers were inspired on their trip to the Hoosier state, where there is a deep appreciation for the artistry of basketball, a precisely executed backdoor cut or a defense that moves together on a string, it was hard to tell.
Instead, their work was the basketball equivalent of finger painting. The Clippers clanked more free throws than they made, got little...
Jannero and Jeremy Pargo must be half brothers or something. Not only do they look nothing alike, but they jump nothing alike. In all seriousness, I’m not sure I’ve ever even seen Jannero dunk… yet Jeremy can drive to the rack and throw down with the best of ‘em. Take a look at what he did to 6’9″ Wizard Kevin Seraphin last night…
Life isn’t fair, is it, Jannero...
This season hasn't been the greatest for the Washington Wizards but they can at least take solace in the fact that they have one of the best young point guards in the game, John Wall.
During last night's Grizzlies/Wizards affair, Wall took an alley-oop from teammate Jordan Crawford and posterized Memphis center Marc Gasol:
Once flying high, the Los Angeles Clippers are struggling to score.
The Oklahoma City Thunder are dealing with some inconsistency of their own.
The Clippers will visit their second playoff contender in as many nights when they continue a back-to-back-to-back stretch against the Western Conference-leading Thunder on Wednesday.
Los Angeles (26-19) has gone a season-high seven straight...
Kevin Seraphin has received more minutes following the trade of JaVale McGee while Nene remains in limbo.
The Los Angeles Clippers' offense hasn't been overly impressive recently, but Chris Paul's late-game heroics have carried the team to a pair of wins.
The Indiana Pacers need someone to step up to help stop their slide.
Los Angeles opens a set of back-to-back-to-back road games Tuesday night when the Pacers try to avoid a seventh loss in nine games.
After dropping three...
