Beyond The Buzzer:
Brandon Roy’s 2-year/$10 million contract pays him $5 million this season, but is not guaranteed for next season. Per Yahoo! Sports, the Timberwolves have been trying to include Roy’s contract into offers, using the non-guaranteed value of his 2013-14 year as a selling point. So far, they’ve been unsuccessful, reportedly being turned down by Denver after offering the injured, Brandon Roy and a first-round pick to the Nuggets for center, Timofey Mozgov.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski, Yahoo! Sports:
The Minnesota Timberwolves were turned down on an offer of Brandon Roy and a first-round pick to Denver for center Timofey Mozgov, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.
BEST OF MAXIM
The Nuggets are motivated to trade Timofey Mozgov, who will be a restricted free agent this offseason and is unlikely to be retained.
Minnesota Timberwolves' guard Brandon Roy is extremely talented but has had his career held back by various injuries. Even after taking a year off, Roy still fins himself stuck with the injury bug. Roy has been sidelined since November 9th with a knee injury. A full return looked bleak then and coach Rick Adelman seems to have concluded that Roy will not play again this year...
MINNEAPOLIS After missing the past five Timberwolves games with a strained right quad, small forward Andrei Kirilenko will return to the Minnesota lineup on Wednesday night for the team's game against Philadelphia. He participated in the team's full practice on Tuesday.
Kirilenko seemed borderline agitated last Wednesday about the duration of the injury, which he suffered...
MINNEAPOLIS With a 19-31 record and 32 games remaining in their season, the second half will be an uphill battle for the Timberwolves. This is a tired team, an injured team, with 18 of its final 32 games coming against .500 or better teams. It's a long road ahead, but on Wednesday, the Timberwolves were in better spirits than they had been in a long time.

MINNEAPOLIS In January, Minnesota clamored for a trade, and president of basketball operations David Kahn said no.
The team was falling out of the playoff race, clinging to its grasp on the eighth spot in the West, and Kahn warned that substantial trades don't happen until closer to the Feb. 21 deadline, even if the Timberwolves were to pursue one. It wasn't that he didn...

Jeff Green had 20 points last night against the Denver Nuggets. He scored in a variety of ways, including mid-range jumpers and strong drives. He shot well, 8-12 overall from the field and 2-4 from 3. Unfortunately his efforts did not get the Celtics the win.

Kevin Garnett: 12 Points, 9 Rebounds
KG had a good game tonight, marred by several missed baskets late. He rebounded decently, passed well, and gave the team efficiency, if not volume. But late in the game he missed some layups, although whether or not he...

After what for many was a “ho-hum” NBA All-Star weekend, we quickly jump into our Marty McFly DeLorean to refresh our memories of how the Portland Trail Blazers have fared over the years.
LaMarcus Aldridge has been the latest Blazer to find his name on the Western Conference ASG roster, however despite his elite level of play during the regular season...

All-Star Weekend has come and gone and now it is time to for the sprint to the playoffs or tanking towards the lottery.
We know that the top three spots in the Western Conference and the top spot in the Eastern Conference are likely set. We think we know the Miami Heat will finish atop the East and the San Antonio Spurs, Oklahoma City Thunder and Los Angeles Clippers will finish...
8:20: Tonight, the Celtics will begin the rest of their season in Denver. The Nuggets currently sit at 33-21 and fifth in the western conference. On the other side, the Celtics went into ASW having won 8 out of their last 9 as they sit at 28-24 and seventh in the eastern conference. This one will be tough and I won't be upset if they lose. But that doesn't mean that I expect it.
