All-Star Weekend has come and gone and now it is time to for the sprint to the playoffs or tanking towards the lottery. We know that the top three spots in the Western Conference and the top spot in the Eastern Conference are likely set. We think we know the Miami Heat will finish atop the East and the San Antonio Spurs, Oklahoma City Thunder and Los Angeles Clippers will finish the Western Conference 1-2-3 in some order. After that it is a toss up, but there is one team -- the Denver Nuggets -- who I think will make a late season push and could even challenge for a top three seed in the West. At 33-21, the Nuggets are fifth place in the West, one and a half games back of the Memphis Grizzlies for fourth place and five games back of the Clippers for third. They are 22-3 at home and 11-18 on the road, thanks in part to a murderous schedule early in the season that saw them play 21 road games in November and December. They have since rebounded and have 16 of their remaining 28 g...

Despite their talent, and their apparent chance at getting better, the Denver Nuggets are not likely to make a trade before the deadline. They seem content to stand pat and push forward with what they have. In some cases that might work, but can it work in a Western Conference with such fierce competition?Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports says the Nuggets have some valuable...
The Nuggets are motivated to trade Timofey Mozgov, who will be a restricted free agent this offseason and is unlikely to be retained.
The All-Star Break has come and went; the trade deadline will expire on Thursday and the “real” NBA season will commence. Kevin Garnett: 12 Points, 9 Rebounds
KG had a good game tonight, marred by several missed baskets late. He rebounded decently, passed well, and gave the team efficiency, if not volume. But late in the game he missed some layups, although whether or not he...
The Celtics lost their first game after the All-Star break, falling to a feisty Denver Nuggets team by seven. The game was close because Jeff Green, setting aside one short stretch in the third quarter, played extremely well. He defended with energy and shot 8-12 from the field for 20 points. But Denver absolutely demolished Boston at the free throw line, shooting 36 free throws to...

8:20: Tonight, the Celtics will begin the rest of their season in Denver. The Nuggets currently sit at 33-21 and fifth in the western conference. On the other side, the Celtics went into ASW having won 8 out of their last 9 as they sit at 28-24 and seventh in the eastern conference. This one will be tough and I won't be upset if they lose. But that doesn't mean that I expect it.
