Houston Rockets guard Patrick Beverley is annoying, pesky, and quickly gaining the reputation as one of the best on the ball defenders in the game.
Beverley showed that much when he hounded and stole the ball from Pelicans point guard Jrue Holiday four times in a five minute period.
Oh and this was all in the fourth quarter of a preseason game.
BEST OF MAXIM
One of the big off-season acquisitions by the New Orleans Pelicans was All-Star point guard Jrue Holiday, whose skills were deemed to be of little no use to a tanking Philadelphia 76ers squad. Saturday night, Holiday’s Pelicans matched up with the Houston Rockets in the pre-season opener for both teams. Normally, such a matchup wouldn’t register a blip on most peoples’ radars...
Houston Rockets center Dwight Howard is already feeling comfortable enough around his new teammates to start joking around with them. To illustrate this point, Howard uses a slick move to wrap his arm around the back of Jeremy Lin's head and start rubbing his ear without being caught during Saturday's NBA preseason game against New Orleans.
It's all fun and games...

Team Preview: Houston Rockets
Tenth on the list is the Houston Rockets. The Rockets had a remarkable offseason, as they were able to reel in the most enticing name on the free agent market, Dwight Howard. However, Howard wasn’t the only player that the Rockets were able to acquire. Let’s take a look at all the offseason moves made by the Rockets...
With the Houston Rockets overseas to play in their next few preseason games, guard Jeremy Lin will get a chance to show off his ability in places like the Philippines and Taiwan.
Check out the below tweet that Jeremy sent from the Manila airport which shows a rather large entourage of people ready to greet him straight from the plane:
Whatup Philipines!! Thanks for the crazy airport...
Linsanity is gripping the Philippines.
Jeremy Lin, the NBA's first American-born player of Taiwanese descent, stole the spotlight Tuesday as the Houston Rockets practiced for the first NBA preseason game in the basketball-obsessed country.
Lin was mobbed by reporters and photographers on a Manila basketball court, a day after the Rockets and Indiana Pacers arrived in the capital...

The reins and restrictions placed on New Orleans Pelicans second-year forward Anthony Davis during his rookie season have been loosened if not totally taken off during this preseason.
Davis the No. 1 player taken in last year's NBA draft is being allowed by coach Monty Williams to do what he was brought to New Orleans to do – be a star.
He certainly shined Monday night.
Dwight Howard has followed LeBron James into the NBA, into infamy, and now, he hopes, to redemption.
The media and fans skewered Howard for his two year odyssey through free agency, making him persona non grata in the NBA world. Reclaiming his reputation as one of the NBA's funny guys, jokesters and light hearted players will be a long journey. Eventually, winning cures all...
Reserve guard Brian Roberts scored all 17 of his points in the fourth quarter, including the winning jumper with 21.7 seconds to play, and the New Orleans Pelicans beat the Dallas Mavericks 94-92 in a preseason game Monday night.

Unfortunately, unlike Dwight Howard who could be wooed with strippers and lower child support payments, it is the Texans who will make the final call on who will be their QB of the future.
He gets an A for effort though.
