In a report today on OregonLive.com Daniel Mediate and other PDX media members caught up with Nicolas Batum as he arrived back in Portland from Europe.
With the Blazers saying they would match a HUGE offer sheet from the Timberwolves for four-year, $46.5 million Batum suggests he's fine with a match.

Who’s It Going to Be?
The Trail Blazers team is finally coming together.
The draft is over, and by the end of today we’ll know if Nicolas Batum is the starting small forward or not.
All that’s left is that little thing of finding a head coach.
It’s been four months since Nate McMillan was fired, and the team has yet to find a new head coach. Interim coach Caleb Kanales...
Sitting on the ledge in the front room of my house are a pair of white and red Adidas shoes. This certain pair of Adidas is a size 16 and have an inscription on the back of each shoe, “Frenchy 88”. Along the outside of each shoe is a signature in black sharpie. The shoes, inscription and signature belong to small forward Nicolas Batum.

It looks like that pick seems to be a good choice as he showed off his aerial exploits in the below clip from today's Blazers/Hawks Summer League game:
The Portland Trail Blazers matched the offer sheet given to restricted free agent Nicolas Batum on Wednesday. Blazers general manager Neil Olshey told reporters at the Las Vegas Summer League that they will honor the four-year deal worth $46.5 million given to Batum by the Minnesota Timberwolves. Batum averaged 13.9 points last season with Portland. The T-Wolves had been trying...
We love athlete houses with killer pools. Love ‘em. Would buy one if this blog ever gets snapped up by a giant media company. Sure, Coed Media Group is cool and all, but our asses aren’t going to be sitting next to one of these pools until Coed is snapped up. When that day comes, my ass is relocating to Southlake, TX where BC HQ will be at LaMarcus Aldridge’s pad. Look at...

When Neil Olshey took over as Portland Trail Blazers General Manager, he said we wanted to bring in a winning culture, and lure the best players to play in the Rose Garden.
His first free agency period? Not so good. With the recent trade sending Raymond Felton and Kurt Thomas to New York for Jared Jeffries, Dan Gadzuric, and two European contracts, and the draft of two project...

The Portland Trail Blazers made it pretty clear that Nicolas Batum is part of the future of their franchise, so it is not surprising they matched the Minnesota Timberwolves' four-year, $46.5 million offer sheet. The talented young forward will remain in Portland for now.
It is a smart move by the Blazers. Batum continues to mature and improve. He is only 23 and it is obvious...
