Los Angeles Clippers
Derrick Rose has averaged 21.7 pts and 4.5 assists in his return from last season’s ACL tear.
In their final preseason game, the Denver Nuggets (2-4) will face the Chicago Bulls (7-0) Friday at the United Center. Here are some key storylines for Nuggets in the game:
Many have predicted Nuggets guard Ty Lawson to have an All-Star season in 2013-14. Some have even compared him to LA Clippers PG Chris Paul. Can Lawson hinder Derrick Rose–an offensive juggernaut. Also, can Lawson put up big numbers against a very good Bulls team.
Nate Robinson (hamstring) and Darrell Arthur (quad) will both play against the Bulls. Wilson Chandler is still feeling tightness in his hamstring and will sit–however he’s expected to play the season opener against the Sacramento Kings on Oct. 30. Kenneth Faried (hamstring) will also sit out, but plans to return to practice on Sunday.
Randy Foye vs Evan Fournier: Foye has gotten a majority of the minutes at the 2-guard. However, Fournier is making his case. Who will show up in the final preseason game?
Can JJ Hickson continue to impress?
The 25-year-old power forward has started a majority of the preseason games for the Nuggets over Faried. With Faried out with his hamstring injury, will Hickson solidify his role as the starter?
Robinson’s Return to Chicago:
Last season, Robinson had a fantastic year with the Bulls in place of Rose. The Nuggets signed Robinson on July 26th to a two-year $4 million deal. Robinson enjoyed his time on the Bulls–Will he have a big game tonight with emotions running high?
Can Anthony Randolph stay hot?
Against the Clippers last week, Randolph dropped 16 pts. On Wednesay, versus the Phoenix Suns, he scored 15. Randolph has developed into a stretch forward. His ability to hit jumpers from the top of the key opens up a new dynamic for the Nuggets offensively. Last season, Randolph only averaged 3.7 points in 8.4 min. Will Randolph continue to fight for minutes?

Rose didn't play in a single game last season, due to injury, but now he's criticizing a team that reached the conference finals in 2013 instead of his own? That doesn't make a whole bunch of sense to me Derrick Rose, star point guard for the Chicago Bulls, has not played in a NBA regular season in over one calendar year, but is still managing to cause controversy...
The long-awaited return is finally here. D-Rose puts back on that Chicago uniform and takes the city in his hands. As Rose took more than enough time to settle and looked sharp in the preseason, he’s expected to be back to the MVP-type Derrick Rose. The team, the city, and everyone is happy…except for maybe the Heat and the Pacers and the Nets. I present to you the Chicago...
Tweet It’s been the Derrick Rose show all preseason for the Chicago Bulls, and it continued Wednesday night in a nationally televised game against the Thunder. Rose again put his athleticism on display by completely turning Thunder guard Reggie Jackson around with this double crossover: Rose finished the game with 26 points and six assists...
There were people who questioned Derrick Rose’s decision to sit out last season once he was medically cleared to play. One of those doubters was none other than Charles Barkley, who made comments along the lines that Rose should have suited up for the Bulls being that he had been practicing at full speed for two months.
Well it is safe to say that those who doubted the Chicago...
Last night’s Bulls/Thunder game may have been preseason basketball, but there was nothing “preseason” about Derrick Rose’s killer crossover on Reggie Jackson.
We haven’t seen Rose play in a regular season game in over a year, but from the looks of it, he hasn’t lost a step.
Just ask OKC’s Reggie Jackson is Rose is back to full strength. Check...
The majority of Heat fans rarely, if ever, have had anything to say nice about Derrick Rose. But Miami's best player, LeBron James, did just that.
King James told ESPNs Michael Wallace that he admires Rose, among other flattering words:
"I'm happy and thrilled that he's back," James said as the Heat prepared to open defense of their second straight...
Man is it nice to have Derrick Rose and his blinding speed and amazing handles back in the league. In case you forgot how fast he is off the dribble, the former NBA MVP reminded us of how good he is during Wednesday’s preseason game between the Chicago Bulls and Oklahoma City Thunder. Late in […]
Carlos Boozer wants to clear up any confusion over just how good Derrick Rose is now after sitting out last season while recovering from a knee injury.
"He's better" Boozer said.
And the Chicago Bulls forward knows why.
"Because I think watching for a year taking care of his body he's stronger now” Boozer said. “On top of that obviously he's a workhorse...
Watch Derrick Rose put OKC’s Reggie Jackson in a blender during Wednesday night’s preseason matchup between the Bulls and Thunder. The poor guy just looks lost after this play.

Derrick Rose scored 15 points and the Chicago Bulls ended the preseason with a 94-89 win Friday over the Denver Nuggets.
Rose and the Bulls, who were without Joakim Noah (groin) and Kirk Hinrich (concussion), went 8-0 and completed their first perfect preseason of at least eight games since 1992.
Carlos Boozer led the Bulls with 24 points and Luol Deng added 23 points and 12 rebounds...
Chicago Bulls star point guard Derrick Rose has some advice for Oklahoma City Thunder star Russell Westbrook as he makes his way back from knee surgery: Take your time.
Rose who is just returning to action after missing close to a year and a half after ACL surgery thinks that Westbrook shouldn't rush back to the floor unless he is completely ready.
"Take his time"...
Last season while Brian Shaw was still a member of the Indiana Pacers coaching staff, he sat and talked with sidelined Bulls star Derrick Rose about his ACL injury on a trip to Chicago.
Essentially, Shaw’s words were a cautionary tale.
Come back too soon, Shaw warned, and you might end up like an old teammate of his – Penny Hardaway.
“He was a great player, tore his knee...
Oklahoma City Thunder’s Russell Westbrook is trying to recover from a knee injury he suffered in last year’s playoffs. Chicago Bulls’ star Derrick Rose, who missed all of last season trying to recover from ACL surgery, was asked if he any advice for Westbrook.
Kurt Helin of NBCSports.com reported that Aggrey Sam of CSNChicago.com said that Rose told Westbrook to be patient...
Derrick Rose has been feeling pretty generous lately. After giving the OKC Thunder buckets last night, 26 points to be exact, the Chicago Bulls point guard also had some advice to give to Russell Westbrook who sat out of the game last night recovering from his latest knee surgery from a torn meniscus. ESPN reports Rose had this to say when asked about fellow point guard Russell...
Boston stars Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett moved to Brooklyn, Derrick Rose recovered from his knee injury, Indiana gave Paul George a contract he richly deserved and a slew of teams think they're finally ready to contend for playoff spots.
No question, the East is loaded with talent.
And it's all going to be chasing Miami once again.
Including playoffs, the Heat won 78...
