According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports, the Toronto Raptors waived 13-year NBA veteran, Quentin Richardson, and the Memphis Grizzlies waived 23-year0old, Fab Melo, Wednesday.
The Raptors acquired Richardson in the deal that sent Andrea Bargnani to the Knicks back in July. The 33-year-old appeared in just one game for New York last season.
The Grizzlies acquired Melo in a deal with the Celtics in early August that sent a non-guaranteed contract (Donte Green) and cash to Boston. In his rookie year, the center averaged 1.2 points in 6 games for the Celtics last season.
Both players will be placed on waivers for 48 hours. If no team picks them up, they will become free agents.
