It seems like every year, there is some athlete, whether in the NBA, NFL, or MLB who just defies expectations and completely .... bombs. I wouldn't go so far as to classify Knicks point guard Raymond Felton a bomb, but for someone who was the 5th pick in the 2005 draft, his career has not lived up to expectations.But you must understand that his career started in Charlotte. When he's played in New York though, it's a different story.Felton is back on the Knicks roster this season after spending last season in Portland. His points-per-game are up this year to 15.7 versus 11.4 last year. His ppg career average is 13.5. It's just not this year for Felton as far as his career rejuvenation. It's the Knicks. This is his second tour with the Knicks, and this is the second time his stats have spiked in relation to his career averages.Felton played a brief time in NY during the 2010-11 season before being traded to Denver as part of the Carmello Anthony deal. At the time of the trade, Felton was averaging 17.1 points and nine assists per contest. Both of those numbers are career highs. I guess NY decided to sell high?Who knows what will happen to Felton. He signed a four year deal with Portland then was traded back to the Knicks as part of an agreed to "sign-and-trade" deal. Felton may simply enjoy playing for the Knicks. I guess when comparing that experience to playing for the Bobcats, it's a no-brainer.
