Found March 22, 2013 on Red's Army:
Brandan Wright had his way in the paint all night, scoring a season-high 23 points to lead Dallas to a 104-94 win over the C’s. Celtics front court struggled (to put it nicely) all night on the pick and roll allowing Wright to slam his way to 11 of 16 shooting. Dirk Nowitzki put in 22 and Vince Carter added 19 off the bench. Boston crept back in this game late in the 4th, but a failed Pierce entry pass to KG with 1:04 left sealed the deal. Celtics had plenty of opportunities to make this a game, but missed lots of easy layups and did not get to the loose balls. Speaking of KG, he was one of the lone bright spots tonight, going for 16 and 12. Along with Bass (on offense anyway) who had a double-double himself of 16 and 11. Pierce had a quiet 16 points, 10 of them coming in the 2nd half. Truth also notched 5 rebounds and 3 assists. Jeff Green was the only bench player in double-figures with 10. Courtney Lee landed awkwardly on an opposing player’s foot late in the game tonight. Doc sa...

Your Morning Dump… Where Courtney Lee has a mild ankle sprain

Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here… highlighting the big storyline. Because there’s nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump. “An initial sprain is always the biggest zing right there when it happens,” Lee said after the Celtics’ 104-94 loss to Dallas. “But hopefully it’s just swelled up a little bit. “I’ll get some medicine...

Courtney Lee despite sprained ankle wants play tonight against Memphis Grizzlies

Courtney Lee twisted his ankle last night in what happens frequently in the NBA, and honestly, I am surprised it doesn’t happen more.  Here is some quotes and the story from The Boston Herald:“An initial sprain is always the biggest zing right there when it happens,” Lee said after the Celtics’ 104-94 loss to Dallas. “But hopefully it’s just swelled up a little bit.“I’ll...

Mavericks star Dirk Nowitzki & wife Jessica expecting first child

Mavericks star Dirk Nowitzki likes to keep his private life low. But after a few weeks of speculation, Dirk confirmed to a German interviewer that he and his wife Jessica are expecting their first child later this year. You can check the interview HERE… It’s in German.   Dirk was coy when asked about the news recently. Smiling and saying to the reporter, “I haven’t heard...

Jeff Green, Celtics Have Proven They Can Play With Elites, But Need to Take Care of Business Against Dregs

Well, that was awkward. Just two days after the world could not stop singing the Celtics’ praises after a loss, of all things, the green team went out Wednesday and laid an egg in the second half in the Big Easy. With the aid of a putrid third quarter, in which they shot 5-for-18 and mustered all of 12 points, the Celtics squandered a comfortable lead for the second time in two...

Celtics Not Compassionate After Courtney Lee Injures Ankle

Celtics’ Doc Rivers and Jason Terry were less than compassionate Friday night when Courtney Lee was carried off the floor by teammates after spraining his ankle. Boston was in the midst of a comeback against Dallas, down just five with under two minutes remaining in the game when Lee went down with an ankle injury on a possession that left O.J. Mayo wide open for a three-pointer...

Randolph is the team's leading rebounder at 11.6 boards...

Loss to Heat Provides Blueprint to Rediscovering Form

The Boston Celtics-Miami Heat matchup had it all. One team came in boasting a historical winning streak, while the other continued to defy the odds with every passing week. One team sat atop the Eastern Conference, while the other was busy fighting and clawing its way up the standings. One team featured arguably the best player in the NBA right now, while the other featured a former...

5 Things Celtics must do to win tonight - Mavericks 3/22

Well, great. Tonight, the Celtics play the Mavericks down in Dallas. Boy, I just can't wait to watch them struggle against another awful team. This last week really only had one hard game scheduled(the Heat game), which they lost. I'm fine with that one, but not the close home wins or the loss in New Orleans. Anyway, if they attempt to follow these five things they might...

Ainge: 'Jeff Green has proven he deserves to be on the court most minutes'

Danny Ainge went on "The Big Show" this afternoon and talked about the suddenly struggling C's. Ben Rohrbach of WEEI.com's 'Green Street' broke down the interview here (link), and in it Ainge spoke about the recent play of Jeff Green, and whether or not he should be playing more. I think Jeff is starting to prove and has proven to Doc that he deserves...

DALLAS (AP) -- Dirk Nowitzki scored 22 points, Shawn Marion had a double-double in his return from a calf injury and the Mavericks spoiled Jason Terry's return to Dallas with a 104-94 victory over the Boston Celtics on Friday night. Terry scored eight in his first game in Dallas since leaving for Boston in free agency. He was the latest key piece the Mavericks decided not to...

Recap: Celtics’ road woes continue

It looked like maybe the Celtics would somewhat salvage this road trip tonight when they started the game on a 12-2 run. Unfortunately, it was not to be. An undermanned and visibly frustrated C’s team was no match for the Grizzlies. Memphis dominated this game on all levels tonight: rebounding, scoring in the paint, second-chance points, you get the picture. Boston goes 0-3 on...

Mavericks 113, Jazz 108

Mike James scored a season-high 19 points, Dirk Nowitzki added 17 and the Dallas Mavericks beat the slumping Utah Jazz 113-108 Sunday night. Vince Carter and Shawn Marion each had 15 points as the Mavericks moved within two games of the Los Angeles Lakers for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference. Enes Kanter scored 17 points as the Jazz lost their ninth straight on...
