PLAYERS: Ray Allen
TEAMS: Boston CelticsMiami Heat
Just a few weeks ago, the consensus was that the Boston Celtics were ready to move on from their Big 3, and move forward with a younger nucleus. It seems that GM Danny Ainge is ignoring all the prognosticators and plans on bringing back all of them, even readying himself and the organization to pay [...]
  • And this is why Danny must be fired. Smh...

Ray Allen likely gone?

So far I've heard that the Grizzlies are going to offer the full MLE to Ray and that the Heat will offer $3 million per. The Suns are either interested or not depending on who you talk to. I'm sure at least a half dozen other teams are also after Ray. Begs the question why couldn't Danny get a trade completed at the deadline? Also begs the question of if the Celtics offered...

Ray Allen will visit Miami Heat and LA Clippers The 36-year-old free-agent guard will visit the Miami Heat on Thursday and the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday, according to a source, and listen to their pitches. Report: Celtics Willing to Double Heat's Offer to Ray Allen

There appears to be no shortage of interest in free agent Ray Allen, but teams other than the Celtics may have to up the ante. The C's are willing to double whatever the Heat offer Allen, according to ESPN's Chris Broussard. They're reportedly willing to give Allen $12 million over two years, although they've yet to make an official offer. The Grizzlies have reportedly...

Celtics willing to double Miami Heat’s offer for Ray Allen, interested in Jason Terry

There was a problem with the blakbirdpie shortcodeRay Allen spent the last few months of the season salty at the Boston Celtics, who came within a whisker of dealing him at the trade deadline and gave his starting spot to Avery Bradley, the young upstart who helped Boston’s second-half resurgence.Several reports have had Allen with one foot out of the door on his way to Miami...

Rivers on Allen and how the Celtics would've drafted his son

ESPN: [Doc]Rivers conceded that if the Celtics had a higher pick in the draft, they would have taken his son, Austin Rivers, who was selected at No. 10 by the New Orleans Hornets. The Celtics had the 21st and 22nd picks. Really no surprise there but still good to have confirmed. A lot of people were rooting for that union, it might have led to some awkward moments off of the court...

Options On The Wing

As Ray Allen’s contract expired following this season, the Shooting Guard position has been something Celtics fans have been keeping their eyes on with a little money to play with in the offseason. Though 2012 is a relatively weak Free Agent class, there are several attractive options available to fill the void of instant offense off the bench who can also compliment starters...

He seemed to think Boston would have a pretty good chance getting both players to stay. "We...

The OJ Mayo Situation

OJ Mayo has been linked to the Celtics for years, and as the Celtics build depth in the frontcourt, it is important for the C’s to add a capable high scoring guard to the roster that could come off the bench or start in the event of an injury. Mayo fits that description as a combo guard, a 6-4  guard with solid handle and the ability to run the offense for stretches when Rondo...
