Found March 27, 2013 on Beyond The Buzzer:
The Memphis Grizzlies have reportedly signed former Celtics guard, Keyon Dooling, for the remainder of the season. Dooling averaged 4 points and 1.1 assists (14.4 minutes) in 46 games with Boston in 2011-12 before retiring in September. According to Peter Vecsey: If it’s not news already then consider it so: Grizzlies have signed Keyon Dooling, who’d suffered nervous breakdown, for remainder of season. Dooling is eligible for the playoffs. Grizz needed playmaking relief for Conley in that Bayless has become predominantly 2-guard.

Recap: Celtics steal a game they had no business winning

One year ago here in Cleveland, Jeff Green got a new heart. In the final two minutes tonight, he showed it to us. — Sean Grande (@SeanGrandePBP) March 28, 2013 I can’t properly explain how bad the Celtics looked for much of the second half.  They were horrible.  They turned the ball over in horrific ways.  They missed easy shots and gave up easier ones.  They let the Cavaliers...

Jeff Green celebrates game-winning shot with his heart surgeon

A year ago, Jeff Green had life-saving surgery in the city where he hit a game-winning shot for the Boston Celtics on Wednesday night. Green led the Celtics to a 93-932 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers with a buzzer-beating layup, and he followed the big shot by embracing Dr. Lars Svensson. Dr. Svensson performed heart surgery on Green at the Cleveland Clinic a little more than...

Jeff Green Hugs His Heart Doctor After Hitting Game Winning Shot

Next Impulse Sports: Jeff Green hit a buzzer beater in Cleveland on Wednesday night to lift the Celtics to a 93-92 win, and following the winner he hugged a man who saved his life a little over a year ago. Dr. Lars Svensson was the recipient of a hug, and a well deserved one, as he performed open heart surgery on Jeff last year to mend an aortic aneurysm. A.B. As Boston.com reported...

Your Morning Dump…where without KG, chances are slim

Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here… highlighting the big storyline. Because there’s nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump. After watching the New York Knicks mow down the Boston Celtics 100-85 at TD Garden on Tuesday night, it was painfully obvious what transpired for the beleaguered home team: No KG, no fun. No chance, either....

Kenyon Martin says Celtics didn't want him, and now they'll pay

From The Boston Herald's Mark Murphy's Celtics Notebook today, some quotes from Kenyon Martin after the game: “It’s their fault; they lost. There was talks, there was negotiations, they chose not to do it. It was out of my control. I’m a Knick now, so they lost. I’m just here to prove I never lost it. I guess I’m a better person than I am a basketball player...

Jeff Green, Celtics Show Heart in Cleveland, Where Green’s Heart Was Fixed Last Year

For the second time in three weeks, Jeff Green delivered a game-winning layup on an expertly diagrammed play. But he was not the hero for the Celtics on Wednesday. Rather, the hero was Jason Terry. It was Brandon Bass. Or maybe it was Jordan Crawford. All three of those players, who are not known for their defense, contributed to a strong defensive effort down the stretch that helped...

One year after open heart surgery, Celtics' Wilcox thankful to be where he is today

BOSTON - Appearing on Thursday night's Celtics Late Night Show on CLNS Radio, Boston Celtics forward Chris Wilcox proudly announced that Friday will be the one-year mark since his open heart surgery. Wilcox, who missed the later part of the 2011-2012 season due to a heart ailment, believes his health continues to improve every day. "My health is getting better everyday....

Underrated Stat of the Night - Knicks 3/26

Tonight's game was an absolute waste. I saw no bright spots tonight. The Celtics didn't put much effort and deserved to lose. As bad as they've played lately, the Knicks have played much worse. I have to idea how they managed to lose this one. Tonight's USOTN goes to the fact that the Knicks shot 29 more shots than the Celtics. The C's shot just 61 shots while...

Recap: Celtics - Cavaliers

The Celtics snapped their five game losing skid this evening and they did so in dramatic fashion as Jeff Green converted on a last second lay-up to secure a victory for Boston. Other than Green's big night, the rest of the rotation was either hit or miss. Four guys finished with over 10 points but five of them scored 6 or lower. A win at Cleveland isn't anything to write...

New York Knicks thrash KG-less Boston Celtics 100-85

The Boston Celtics dropped their fifth straight game with a loss at home to the New York Knicks. J.R. Smith scored 32 and Carmelo added 29 as the Celtics got thrashed. The Knicks outscored the Celtics 30-20 in the second quarter and that was pretty much it. Another awful loss for the C’s and this one game at home to a Knicks team without Tyson Chandler (or anything remotely resembling...

Celtics losing streak now at five, fall to Knicks 100-85

Well that was ugly. The Celtics have now lost five straight, falling 100-85 to the Knicks. You knew you were in for a gem of a game when it took three minutes for either team to score the first bucket. The rest of the game was not much prettier and it could be because there just wasn't enough talent on the court. The list of players who weren't suiting up for this game...

John Drives Memphis Up a Wall

In my total 14 year old kid moment, I somewhat forgot I was covering last night's game on behalf of the media. Constantly looking to my colleague, Abdullah, and saying, "Did you see that crossover?", "Oh my goodness, he's on fire." At one point when Wall drove to the basket between two Grizzlies players and hit an under hand scoop lay up to finish the...
