The illustrious era of Marquis Daniels in Green has officially come to an end. Daniels, who spent the last three seasons with the Celtics, has agreed to a one-year deal with the Milwaukee Bucks, according to The Boston Globe's Gary Washburn. It's unclear at this point how much Daniels' guaranteed deal is for, but it's reasonable to suspect it could be for the veteran's minimum. The 31-year-old is coming off a season in which he scored 3.2 points and grabbed 1.7 rebounds in 12.7 minutes per game in 38 regular season games. In addition to his three years in Boston,...

The Celtics just announced they have waived Keyon Dooling, but this sounds like it was Keyon’s decision:
“Keyon has decided that he has given the NBA 12 good years and that it’s time to pursue other interests and spend more time with his family,” said Dooling’s representative Kenge Stevenson. “He will never forget his time in Boston with the Celtics.”
Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here… highlighting the big storyline. Because there’s nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump.
Former Magic G Keyon Dooling announced he was retiring — at least for a few minutes. Word is he’d be interested in joining the Heat. Who isn’t? …
I refuse to believe this rumor. Keyon...
SCRANTON, Pa – The Boston Celtics have been noted as a team to always start the NBA season strong. In 2011-12′s condensed season, the C’s defied their past dominance in the early segment of the season. Credited with virtually no training camp, no preseason and out-of-shape bodies, the Celtics stumbled out of the gate. Barely [...]
According to the Boston Globe the Celtics now find themselves seeking a veteran point-guard with the departure of Keyon Dooling:“Meanwhile, Dooling informed the Celtics of his plans to retire and the club is now left without a primary backup point guard to Rajon Rondo. Dooling had also emerged as Rondo’s mentor. The Celtics wanted Dooling to return because of his steadiness...
This comes from the UCLA Women’s basketball coach:

Rajon Rondo‘s tour of the globe continues Saturday with a stop at Alcatraz! You heard that right! Rondo will fulfill one last Red Bull obligation of the summer; the King of the Rock tournament. From Boston.Com: Saturday he’ll make one more stop, heading to Alcatraz to host the finals of the “King of the Rock” [...]
Got this one in an email today from Paul at RedBull...
Hope you like this one. Here's a recap video of Rajon's visits to Taiwan, the Philippines and Hong Kong. He hosted multiple youth clinics, a court refurbishment, and qualifiers for Red Bull King of the Rock. He also was able to spend some down time on the water while in Hong Kong, "becoming one with the banana...
The agent for Keyon Dooling is refuting reports that his client is interested in joining the Miami Heat (courtesy ESPN Boston’s Chris Forsberg):
“He’s comfortable with where he is right now,” Stevenson said Saturday. “It was his decision to step away.”
Not the strongest denial in the world, but good enough for me. Keyon might take the next few months off and gauge interest...
The Boston Celtics plan to enter training camp next week with a slew of new faces, with Darko Milicic being among them.
A league source confirmed to CSNNE.com that Milicic, the No. 2 overall pick in the 2003 NBA draft, will sign a one-year deal with the Celtics next week for the veteran's minimum.
Welp there you go. Well, Darko is seven feet tall. So, he could, you...
Gary Washburn summed up all the pertinent information quite nicely. File this one under “when 140 characters really are enough”. In a roster with more swingmen than a baseball team, it would come as shock if Downs made the cut for the final 15, but best of luck to him.
Former Gonzaga and Kansas swingman Micah Downs will be in #celtics camp. He played in Russia last season

With the addition of Rob Kurz, Darko Milicic, and now Micah Downs, the Celtics will have 19 players in training camp. They are limited to 20 training camp players so there is room for one more player if they decide...
So Keyon Dooling signed back with the Celtics a few weeks back. Then the weird news that he retired. Or he was waived. And now this interesting piece of information from Magic insider Brian Schmitz of the Orlando Sentinel:

We’ve reported the rumor… and then the confirmation of the rumor. I’ve written way too many words about it… but I guess I’d hoped somehow this was still some kind of joke.
But it’s not.
Red’s Army reader Chris Bongiovanni (@ChrisBongi on Twitter) passes this photo along of Darko Milicic in Celtics gear, at the team facility.
So Darko is here. For realsies.
