Found June 25, 2013 on Beyond The Buzzer:
According to Andy Katz of ESPN, the Cavaliers offered their No. 1 pick in Thursday’s draft, third-year forward, Tristan Thompson and second-year guard, Dion Waiters, to Minnesota in exchange for Kevin Love, but Timberwolves general manager, Flip Saunders, turned down the deal. But the Cavs are also exploring trading the top pick since they’re not in love with any one player who in a “normal” year wouldn’t be a top pick. According to a source, Cleveland offered the No. 1 pick, Tristan Thompson and Dion Waiters to try and land Minnesota’s Kevin Love. But new Timberwolves president Flip Saunders won’t move Love.

isportsweb 2013 NBA mock draft v.3

Three weeks have passed since my last draft projections, and it seems as if there has been a lot of shuffling amongst draft experts in regards to players in the top-10, and even questions with who will go No. 1 overall. As for me (I’m not a draft expert, just a die-hard NBA/College hoops fan), there isn’t too much rearranging going on in my first-round predictions. As long as...

Timberwolves to face Russian team in preseason

MINNEAPOLIS -- The Minnesota Timberwolves' web of worldwide connections keeps on expanding. The team announced Monday it will entertain an international opponent for the second straight preseason. This year, it's Russian champion and 2013 Euroleague semifinalist CSKA Moscow -- the former team of Timberwolves guard Alexey Shved and forward Andrei Kirilenko. As part of the...

Report: Cavs plan to select Alex Len #1 overall

With the NBA Draft tomorrow night, many rumors and reports are circulating, and none more so than who the Cleveland Cavaliers will select #1 overall. While many believe Nerlens Noel to be the top player available, concerns over his injured knee and raw offensive game, have teams like the Cavs looking elsewhere. While they may try to move out of the top spot, the plan is to pick Alex...

Brandon Roy: “My Basketball Days Are Numbered”

Brandon Roy took one last shot at life as an NBA player last season, when he signed on to play for the Minnesota Timberwolves. The old Brandon Roy might have led the Timberwolves to a playoff run.  This version of Brandon Roy may never walk or run pain-free. Roy now sits on the brink of retirement, and according to Kevin Pelton, won’t admit it’s over, but does say “his basketball...

Timberwolves Trying to Trade Up For Oladipo

Flip Saunders and the Minnesota Timberwolves seem to be enamored with NBA Draft prospect Victor Oladipo. The T’Wolves are offering former #2 overall pick Derrick Williams , the #9 and the 3 26 picks in this Draft, in order to move into position to grab Oladipo. I’m not sure if the T’Wolves package [...]

Cleveland Cavaliers May Be After Another Veteran Small Forward Option

After reports came out over the weekend that the Cleveland Cavaliers were interested in making a trade for Paul Pierce, there is now speculation that they may be looking at other options at the same position. Former ESPN employee, Ric Bucher, is reporting that the Cavaliers have an interest in Chicago Bulls’ small forward Luol [...] [[ This is a content summary only. Visit my...

NBA Rumors: Cavaliers offer No. 1 pick to Pelicans for Vazquez, picks

The Cleveland Cavalier have reportedly offered the first-overall draft pick to the New Orleans Pelicans. Alex Kennedy of HOOPSWORLD reports that the Cavs have offered the top pick in the 2013 NBA Draft for New Orleans point guard Greivis Vasquez, the No. 6 overall pick and a 2014 first-round pick. As Kennedy states, the 2014 NBA Draft is widely considered to be substantially better...

With no trades brewing, Wolves finish draft prep

MINNEAPOLIS -- The Minnesota Timberwolves' 2013 draft legwork is pretty much complete. Now, president of basketball operations Flip Saunders said, action gives way to reaction. "We have a list of 60 players -- 75, 60 guys on the draft board -- and all those players are based on, with our roster as it is, when the time comes, who are we going to pick," Saunders said...

Timberwolves hope to find jewels in draft's second round

MINNEAPOLIS -- Finally, Gordon Malone was exhibiting what resembled shades of his West Virginia self. In 2008, Malone scored more than 35 points in back-to-back games, brushing past helpless defenders and making good use of his 6-foot-11 frame like he did so often in the old Big East. But this was in a summer, pseudo-street ball league in New York dubbed Pro City, nowhere near the...

Cavs’ Mike Brown wants UNLV’s Anthony Bennett at No. 1

If Cleveland Cavaliers’ head coach Mike Brown was also serving as general manager, it appears that UNLV forward Anthony Bennett would be his selection with the first-overall pick in the impending 2013 NBA Draft. ESPN’s Chad Ford, in a theory-based piece regarding the Cavs and the No. 1 pick, says that Brown is a big fan of the offensively gifted athlete from the Running Rebels...

Draft preview: Wolves likely to avoid major draft-day trade

MINNEAPOLIS -- Like so many Minnesota Timberwolves' contests last season, their route in this year's NBA Draft carries an aura of predictability. The franchise's injury woes and shortcomings of 2012-13 rang as apparent as its needs entering Thursday's draft, where the Timberwolves have two picks in each round. The difference: there's hope here, hope that was...

Report: Blazers Reject Cavs’ Offer Of #1 And #19 Picks For LaMarcus Aldridge

The Cleveland Cavaliers have been trying to land a star to put next to Kyrie Irving, and according to reports, owner Dan Gilbert is tired of dealing with the lottery. ESPN’s Chad Ford is reporting that the Trail Blazers rejected a deal from the Cavaliers offering the #1 overall pick, and the #19 pick for stud power forward LaMarcus Aldridge. What are the Cleveland Cavaliers...

NBA Trade Rumors: Cavs interested in forward Thomas Robinson

The Cleveland Cavaliers are reportedly one of a few teams who are interested in acquiring Houston Rockets forward Thomas Robinson. Jonathan Feigan of the Houston Chronicle reports that the Rockets are looking to clear salary, presumably in attempt to sign free agent center Dwight Howard, and that a salary cap-clearing trade involving Robinson is “imminent.” “There are 16 teams...
