It’s Easter Sunday as the hottest team in the NBA, the San Antonio Spurs (39-14), return to action tonight as they host the visiting Utah Jazz.AJ

The Spurs are on fire at the right time as they’re averaging 113 points during their last six games, as they’re currently the number one seed in the Western Conference, have clinched a playoff position, and are on their second 10-game winning streak this season.

The Jazz are coming off a win at home, as they’re one game behind the Denver Nuggets (30-26) for the eighth seed in the Western Conference race. The Jazz are currently playing .500 basketball in their last 10 games, as they haven’t defeated one team that is better than .500 in their last 10 games.

Game Expectation

Aside from Jefferson, the Spurs should be able to contain the rest of the Jazz’ players from exploding for a big night. The Jazz on the other hand don’t have enough ammunition offensively to keep up with the Spurs’ offensive attack.

This Spurs team is clicking on all sorts of cylinders right now offensively, and though they possess a mediocre defense, there are stretches where the defense can create turnovers and turn those plays into run-building offensive points.

Depth, which has gotten the Spurs to a 10-game winning streak, should be the reason the winning streak continues so long as the Spurs continue to share the ball, take care of the ball, and limit those Jazz players outside of Jefferson from having a big night.

If the Spurs follow their routine they’ve constructed once again, it should be another double-digit lead going into the fourth quarter with the starters resting for the trip to Utah on Monday.

Al Jefferson scored 30 points and Devin Harris added a season-high 28 to lead the Utah Jazz over the Golden State Warriors, 104-98 Friday night to snap a two-game home losing streak. Paul feel this will prove to be advantageous, while I think the Thunder's bench could rival the Spurs depth. In the second half of the show, the panel breaks...

Should R.C. Buford be Executive of the Year?

The San Antonio Spurs are good.  Really good actually.  Heading in to this season they were supposed to be good, though probably not this good.  It seems like for the last few years at least that's been the case with the Spurs.  Everyone expected them to be a playoff team but no one expected them to contend for a title.  Yet, here they are, winners of nine in a row for the...

What does the 1-seed mean for the Spurs?

Well look at that. Written off as a middle-of-the-road playoff team just a few short months ago, the San Antonio Spurs are now sitting on top of the Western Conference. They’ve battled injuries and a grueling schedule to ride an 11-game win streak to the best record in the Western Conference, overtaking the Thunder. Of course, it’s too early to call it and the Spurs are technically...

Spurs 114, Jazz 104

The San Antonio Spurs pushed their winning streak to 11 on a night when coach Gregg Popovich committed to playing just 10 men. That health prioritizing isn't likely to change - whether first place is on the line or not. Tony Parker scored 28 points, Manu Ginobili had 23 off the bench and the Spurs reached their second 11-game winning streak of the season, beating the Utah Jazz...

Spurs-Jazz Preview

The San Antonio Spurs cruised to their 11th straight win in the opener of this home-and-home set against the Utah Jazz. Maintaining the streak isn't important to coach Gregg Popovich. Popovich continues to reiterate that prioritizing health is his focus in the season's final month as the visiting Spurs try to defeat the Jazz for the seventh straight time Monday night. San...
