The NBA lockout is keeping players off the court, but it hasn’t stopped them from celebrating the newest footwear created in their honor. Players’ signature shoes are arriving just in time for what should be the start of the season. Whether or not these sneakers will debut on the hardwood remains to be seen, but rather than keeping the latest footwear tucked away, brands are still introducing the new styles to fans.

John Wall visited the Foot Locker flagship store in Herald Square in NYC to unveil Reebok’s ZigEncore, his first signature shoe with the brand. The Washington Wizards point guard celebrates his second year in the pros with these new kicks, a lighter, sleeker version of the original ZigSlash. The sole of the new shoe features the recognizable zig-zag design with a black/red/white colorway. With careful attention to detail, the shoes also include several personal touches like Wall’s signature, his tagline “Humble and Hungry” and his custom logo on the tongue. The shoes retail for $114 and you can pick up a pair here.

Reebok also introduced a corresponding “J. Wall” apparel collection, to be sold exclusviely at Foot Locker stores. Wall’s apparel collection includes a selection of tees, shorts, hoodies and pants. Items feature the same “zig” design seen on the soles of the shoes, as well as Wall’s “Speed” logo. To view the full collection, check here.

Carmelo Anthony also debuted his new shoe, the Jordan Melo M8, with a series of events throughout NYC. Having a bit more footwear experience than Wall, this is Melo’s eighth signature sneaker from the Jordan Brand. To celebrate his new kicks, the Knicks small forward headed to Harlem’s 125th Street House of Hoops. The shoes, which were developed to be as light as possible, feature a black, orange and chrome blue colorway and cater to Melo’s game (i.e. the way he starts and stops). They retail for $135 and you can grab a pair here.

While in Harlem, Melo spoke with young fans about his role in the creative process, his design inspiration, what makes this Melo M8 different from past models and what has changed over the course of the shoe’s history. Last night, the Jordan Brand held a party at Pier 54 in NYC, in celebration of the Melo M8 debut. Together with rapper Nas, Carmelo showed off his new kicks to fans.

To coincide with the shoe launch, the Jordan Brand also unveiled Flight Lab 159 in NYC. The interactive experience provides a visual representation of Anthony’s game, showcasing his personality on and off the court. For additional details, read on here.
